This idea has been stolen from Katqueen. You can see her version here:
I noticed that I've been struggling to keep up with RPs, and I think it's because I've been refusing to make engaging characters. I'd like to see what I could do if I force myself to create (or re-use) characters of various species, personalities, etc.
Feel free to drop in and comment on how I'm doing, which character is your favorite, etc. -

History: Winsor was "born" to an unlikely duo; a high-ranking angel, and a high-ranking demon. The mixing of blood gave him unimaginable powers, and gave way to a new species; the Heongod. Not quite a god, yet not a demigod, Winsor was the first of a large family that would be granted the gift of such rare existence.
As he grew up, Winsor quickly learned that his father did not care about his family in the slightest, and thus, was not a candidate to be a loving father. His mother had been forced to mate with the cruel demon, and eventually, she was slaughtered. The confused teenager was told that his job was to stay alive and to keep his siblings safe. Over the years, Winsor was introduced to many new faces. By the time his final sibling was born, a young girl who he chose to name Isaura, he had turned into a strong, independent young adult. However, his morals and understanding of right and wrong were warped beyond understanding. He rose to power throughout several worlds and learned how to rule with an iron fist. He grew greedy for the power that he had been shown and wanted even more.
By the time Winsor had taken over his first kingdom, his father came back into his life. He was told that Isaura, the ninth child, was the strongest of them all. When she turned of proper age, she would gain the power to warp worlds in and out of existence. His dear little sister was, indeed, a goddess. However, he didn't want to give up a power like that to his father. He took his siblings into hiding, using his own magic and the help of his newfound allies. He fed all of them lies; their parents abandoned them, they were being hunted, they had to hide.
The world that he had stumbled into was none other than the magical world of Ifilar. There, he ran into a charming young woman named Wendy Lyness. He later discovered that she was from that world's royal family. Intrigued by her odd nature and strange essence, he sought to discover more about her. -

History: Wendy was born into a loving family as the youngest child. She was raised without the stress of being royalty; she made friends with the knights of her kingdom, and she played with her older siblings. The kingdom welcomed her with open arms.
When she was a young girl, her family decided to go on a trip to the family villa in the mountains. Unfortunately, they made the mistake of not bringing a high amount of guards. While Wendy and her older brother, Asuska, were out exploring the forest, a local group of horrendous ruffians attacked the villa. By the time they got there, the villa was up in flames. Her mother was unable to make it out. Only her father and older sister made it out.
They were surrounded by the gang before they could get a chance to grieve. In a desperate and pitiful attempt to avenge their mother, Irena attempted to use her magic to scare them away. It was not enough to take them down; they fatally injured her. With few options, Wendy's father gave himself up to save his children. He used his magic to transport them back to the castle, nearly killing himself in the process; after all, their castle was fortified by powerful magic, and he had to break a portion of the barrier to force them through.
Years passed, and Ifilar began to fall into ruins. Without a king and queen to rule, towns began to starve, riots rose at an alarming rate, and various numbers of gangs and rogue wizards started to climb to power. Asuska and Irena were left to scramble to regain power over Ifilar with the help of their court. As Wendy grew older and began to learn more about taking care of the kingdom, she found that she did not enjoy the life of a princess. She wanted to be out with her people, without being held down by her duties passed onto her by her siblings.
Driven by her curiosity and desire for adventure, she stole out into the night, going to the nearest town to see what could be done. There, she found that the town was being terrorized by a small band of wizards. Using magic that she didn't know how to use, she managed to force them out of the town.
She seeks to continue her travels deeper into the kingdom and bring the realm back to the former glory that it had under her parents. -

History: Irena was born as the middle child. She bonded rather well with her older brother, Asuska; the two of them were inseparable even before she could walk. Her mother spent a lot of time with her, keeping her sheltered from the rest of the kingdom. She was diagnosed with multiple personality disorder when she turned ten; she would call herself different names, and her entire personality would change and morph into a different being. Her family learned to accept these personalities, treating each one as if it was still their daughter.
When the "terrible accident" happened, Irena attempted to go back into the flames to save her mother. Her father and older brother stopped her; she was forced to watch as the villa burned. Already disgruntled and feeling survivor's guilt, she found herself slipping away.
By the time that they were surrounded, Irena had slipped into a comatose state. However, one of her alternate personalities stepped forth. Enraged and fully aware of the death of Rose, Heather attempted to use magic to murder the gang that had caused the damage. However, Heather did not know enough magic to properly do the job. She was beaten easily, and she was fatally injured.
Irena and her other personalities have suffered PTSD ever since the death of her mother. She relies on Asuska to calm her down when she has episodes or nightmares. She has yet to tell her younger sister, Wendy, about the challenges she faces. She forces herself to be the brave and mature older sister; at least, whenever she can. -

History: Asuska was the firstborn of Caine and Rose Lyness. His father spent the majority of his time raising him to become a powerful and proper prince. As a child, he was popular with the young maids. As he grew up, he became even more popular with every woman he encountered. However, he had taught himself to follow the rules and be formal; he had a hard time holding a conversation with any of them, and he was often blunt or almost rude to any girl that tried to talk to him.
When the attack on the villa happened, Asuska had been scolding Wendy for leaving. He was the first to sense that something was wrong. When they arrived to the scene, Irena and Caine were staring helplessly into the fire. No one had ever seen him cry as fiercely as he did that day.
After Caine gave himself up to protect his children, Asuska quickly took on the duty of being both a king and a sort of father figure (mostly for Wendy). He struggles to keep up with both his family and the kingdom; he still had years worth of lessons to take. Still, he manages to take care of the kingdom. -

History: N/A -
Wendy crouched low to the floor, both of her hands clutching the hilt of her sword. Her eyes were locked on her opponent; he was at the far end of the space, slowly and calmly approaching her. She braced herself as he got closer with each step. She wondered if she should strike him as if she were holding a bat. It could prove to be more effective than a gentle swipe of the sword. When he finally drew close enough for her to swing, she did; she swiped for his feet, putting all of her weight into the attack. This caused her to miss completely and stumble forward.
Dairi watched the princess fall to his feet, amusement clear on his face. She scrambled to get up, but as she did so, he gently placed his own sword before her throat.
"Good effort," he teased. "Perhaps you should try using the sword properly. That's a rapier, not a broadsword. You can't use two hands."
"I can't hold it with only one," Wendy hissed back. "It's too heavy."
Dairi raised an eyebrow at her, moving the sword from her throat. "Perhaps we need to get you a different sword, then. That's the lightest we have.." He helped pull her back onto her feet. She threw her hands up in despair, angrily grunting at him. -
Asuska leaned forward in his chair, pointing at an unmarked spot on the map. Irena looked over his shoulder, biting her lower lip in worry.
"That's how much of the territory is left unguarded?" She asked, moving her hand down to brush over the space he was pointing to.
"Unfortunately." Asuska leaned back, sighing in defeat. He slumped into the chair, looking at the empty room. "We're short on troops, and we don't have enough mages to secure the towns. As it is, the rouge forces are beginning to close in around us."
Irena looked at her older brother, frowning. He looked exhausted. She glanced back at the map, trying to figure out whether or not there was a way to take back the land and protect the people. She couldn't think of anything. -
Winsor stared angrily into the mirror, attempting to smooth down the vest atop his shirt. Wrinkles adorned the old, fashionable coat, and they seemed to stay no matter how hard he pressed onto them.
After his fifth time of trying to push them down, he grew frustrated. He ripped the vest off of his body, throwing it into the air. With a snap of his fingers, the vest burst into flames, disintegrating within seconds. He turned away as the ashes fell to the floor.
Winsor received word that the royal family was having problems with rouge wizards and bandits. He knew that he could easily wipe the ruffians out himself; however, he wanted something in return. He wanted Wendy.
The magician was not known to mull over people. He loathed interaction- human, animal, magical beings, all of them. If he could have it his way, he would avoid everyone and everything all together. However, he could not follow his heart and become a recluse. His siblings were far too curious, too intrigued by humans and the troubles of others. They regularly brought people over to their mansion, hosting get-togethers and grand parties. He had virtually no escape.
He glanced at the several outfits scattered across his bed, wondering if any of them would be able to make up for his now lost vest. He had yet to introduce himself to Asuska Lyness, the king of Ifilar. In fact, he hadn't even given Wendy his name. Their meeting was brief; she had barely given him a smile before disappearing off into a crowd and going far, far away from him. -
"Don't give up, milady," Dairi said, touching her arm gently. "It's quite possible that swords are not your thing. We have crossbows, regular bows, cannons, why-"
"I can't carry a cannon on my own," Wendy said miserably. "Those are only here, and we have very few of those. I would probably end up shooting the castle somehow."
Dairi pulled his hand away, looking to the ground as he nodded in agreement. "You are not wrong. Your aim is terrible. Ah, but..." He trailed off, knowing that there was no way to save his sentence. Deciding to change the subject, he sheathed his sword, nodding to a nearby maid. "Let's get you cleaned up. We can find something else to do-"
"Dairi Bararil!" A young page ran up to him, quickly stopping to bow to Wendy. Once he stood up, he took a gasp of air and continued, "King Asuska has requested that you attend a royal meeting in the... Meeting room," he paused, flustered. It was obvious that he was new to the castle. "It's urgent, he says! Also says that Princess Wendy can come, provided she acts very professional and lady-like."
Wendy glared daggers at the page. "What does he mean by that? When am I never not professional?"
"I'm just repeating what I was told, miss," he said apologetically. "I think that you are very proper. Very lady-like." -
After a long pause between the two, Asuska pushed himself up from his chair, walking over to the door at the other end of the room. He knocked against it. Immediately after, the door was opened, and a guard presented himself to the king. He bowed, risking quickly.
"How can I help you, your majesty?" The knight asked, glancing into the room and seeing Irena watching them.
"Call forth a page. I need Dairi and Elinor immediately. Ah, and my sister. Wendy. Tell the page that she can only attend if she keeps her mouth shut. This is an important decision that needs to be made. If she shoots off her mouth, I will get angry, and-"
"You do not like being angry," Irena finished his sentence for him. She walked over to the door, smiling at the knight. "How about you re-word what my brother has said? Ask her to be... Professional. Lady-like. Can you do that, sir?"
"Yes, your majesty," he bowed to the two of them, turning and taking off. The two watched him charge down the hall, listening to his armor clanking as his feet hit the ground. -
After mulling over outfits, Winsor settled on a fancy red coat. It had a much darker tint than his hair; blood red, as he liked to call it. He pulled it over his shirt, smiling at himself. He could pass for royalty.
As he admired himself in the mirror, Cali opened the door, slipping in without a sound. He made his way to Winsor's bathroom, trying to be stealthy. As he attempted to unlock the door, it zapped him, causing him to yell in shock. Winsor glanced over his shoulder, adjusting his coat mindlessly.
"I heard you when you first entered, you know," Winsor said. "You know better than to come into my quarters while I'm inside..."
"You lock your door with magic when you aren't inside," Cali grunted angrily. "Why do you have to lock your damn bathroom too?"
Winsor finally turned around, meeting him face to face. "Because I know you, little brother." He walked over to the door, opening it. He disappeared into the bathroom. When he returned, he had a plastic box of razors in his hand. "You're looking for these, aren't you?"
Cali glared at him, remaining quiet. Winsor returned the glare, starting to toss the box back and forth as if it were a toy. "I know about your obsession with pain. What you do with your many lovers outside of our home is none of my business, but what happens under my roof is. I do not allow you to live here just to have you bleed all over my authentic rugs and carpets. Money is hard to come by in this realm." -

FYI- If you guys want me to RP w/you with one of these characters, let me know. I'd love to build my characters' personalities in realms other than their main homes.
In case you guys haven't caught on, I'll be making character charts as I introduce new characters. I've been marking history as N/A because I haven't had time to sit down and write their backgrounds, nor do I have any clue about how I want to go about explaining them and their histories.
I also just realized I never wrote down a plot. Yikes. Oh well.
