Hamell Academy, a glorious school for only the best of the best! Gifted children from all over are sent here. The school colours of red and blue, to represent the extremes of water and fire, cold and hot, up and down, air and ground, Yes and no, Innocence and violence, and many more. A large veriety of clubs, tournaments, and teams. Several classes that are optional for after school or on breaks. Yes, Hamell Academy of New York is certainly for the best of the best! and today, the school is buzzing with news that some magical creatures are coming to their school!
While academically the school has been thriving, their sport teams desperately need a kick start if they’re hoping to even make the top ten. So when news comes that Randy Peters, star athlete with several scholarships in their name, the student body is over joyed! Except of course, it’s leaders. The Van Helsing triplets, lead by the eldest by minutes and only girl, Fern Van Helsing, frowned at the welcome posters being hung up to welcome Randy Peters. “Looks like you have a threat Quinn. These ungrateful imbeciles are blind to the fact that they already have a star player. I suppose they think two stars are needed, since we haven’t been doing so good since your unfortunate injury.” Fern sighed as she watched. “Don’t worry though, it’s a new school, a strange environment for them. We’ll be able to squash them like bugs before they even know what’s happening.” Fern chuckled before heading to the PA system. “Attention all students. While I understand we want to welcome new student with open arms, cluttering the halls with posters without permission of Staff or Student Council is prohibited, and posters that are not registered will be removed. Thank you.” Fern spoke into the announcements before heading back out and beginning to remove the posters.
Meanwhile at an airport in New York City, Randy is getting off the plane, a worried look. All her friends, all the boys (and some girls) that were crazy for her, fans, and some of her family left behind in her old town of Chicago... Randy took a deep breath, studying the busy airport, relieved when she saw her Aunt with a sign saying ‘Miranda Peterson’. Randy smiled and walked over. “Hello Aunt Jennifer.” Randy greeted the classy woman with a cheerful smile, a blue turtle neck sweater, jeans, dressy boots, her honey blonde hair in a tight bun, and gentle brown eyes. “Hello dear, need help with your bags?” Her aunt asked. “No, I can manage.” She replied with a smile as she followed her Aunt to the taxi. As she looked around at the busy streets full of lights, advertisement, buildings, and an incredible variety of different cars and people, Randy decided she might like it here in New York after all.
“Once we get you settled at our home, I’ll take you to your new school where you’ll be shown around and learn about the school and meet the students there. You’ll get to try out for any clubs or teams you fancy, and then chose your time table. Tomorrow you’ll start class with everyone else.” She explained. “Cool!” Randy cheered as they arrived at her Aunt’s mansion, -
Logan looked at the posters for someone named Randy Peters. He thought that was an odd name for a girl but she looked nice enough. He heard Fern’s message over the intercom and shook his head. He sighed and said “Sometimes Fern, I just wish you would just have some fun.” He did grab one of the posters and hid it so Fern wouldn’t see it.

Aaron sighed moodily, he’d be going to live with his oldest brother and his three mates. They were alright, but he wasn’t looking forward to any of this. He’d had a placenta in his old school. He’d been somebody, he’d managed to be more popular than his siblings were when they were in school. Now he’d be spending a lot of time with his brother. The families most influential businessman, this would do hell to his self esteem.
Reya, the oldest mate his brother had, picked him up from the airport and drove him to their home, which was as his brother called it, a small castle Dragons often needed bigger homes due to the sheer size of their families, and bigger gardens for turning into their ‘true’ forms, Aaron had been unable to achieve that but he was looking forward to the grounds since he’d been told they see littered with large clusters of crystals and minerals.
He looked at the house, it wasn’t really a castle being more of a large manor but it was beautiful, built in white with climbing flower shop on the walls.
Benjamin was waiting for him outside,
“ Oh! Lil’ bro it’s so great to see you.” The larger dragon said as he picked his brother up in a crushing bear hug,
Phillip, the youngest Mate chuckled behind him. “ Benjamin darling, be careful.” He chided gently.
Amelia the only other mate he hadn’t met before came outside with a pitcher of lemonade and set it on a table full of food.
“ Nice to meet you dear, I’m Amelia, we’ll help you take your stuff upstairs , and then you can come have a snack.” She said booping his nose. He nodded slowly and followed her.
His room was done in a bluebird colour and a gray colour. He’d expected the room to be empty but it was full of things. His brother had miraculously remembered his love for musical theatre it seemed,
Peggy looked around curiously as she was led to her godfathers hotel building. Her godfather was the owner of many succecful hotel chains, and he’d reached out to them about her coming to live in the pent house suite of this branch. She had to say the hotel itself was gorgeous and looked like something out of one of her books. The manager gave her a careful explanation of all of the services the hotel had to offer along with the allowance of using the basement to her hearts desire.
Peggy sighed gently, as nice as this place was she missed her old house, a simple upstairs downstairs with a garage. Her godfather was a great guy, especially for doing something as nice as this for her, but it didn’t change the fact that she’d left her whole life behind, the only positive was going to this school.
The pent house had been stocked with new stuff all for her, since her room had been the worst off in the ( earthquake?) nothing had made it, except luckily a box full off irreplaceable family treasures.
She took out this box and placed the pictures on the pin board.
Her godfather wasn’t in New York and wouldn’t be for three months what with being busy, so her care had been intrusted to the staff.
Peggy flopped down tiredly on the bed. She’d need to ask for plants to be brought to her room, the biggest downside of living in a place like this.
Back home they’d lived in an area with plenty of wildlife so her fae side was fine.
The plants that had been placed in here wouldn’t be enough while she was getting used to the big city. -
Harlequin stuck his tongue out at Fern. "J-just because you're older by a f-f-few minutes d-doesn't make you superior. And d-d-don't worry, she won't b-be any more then a thhhorn in our s-side." He mumbled to her as she shared her message on the intercom. But though he'd never admit it to her, he was a bit worried about Randy. Three scholarships and a serious fanbase might be the star athlete's downfall, if he's not careful.
-
“I’m just looking out for you guys.” Fern muttered, keeping three of the millions of posters up at random parts at the school so that students wouldn’t hate her.
“So dear, what are you hoping to pursue as a career?” Her Aunt asked as they brought in her luggage. “I think I want to be a mechanic.” She replied. “You’re not going into sports?” Her Aunt asked in surprise. “Of course I am, but being a mechanic would be my actual career. A fall back career in case things go wrong. Besides, once in your late thirties, not many sports take you seriously. It’s important to have a career plan.” Randy explained. “You’re such a smart girl.” Her Aunt cheered. Randy nodded and smiled before entering her room. -
"Th-that's true." Quinn said with a shrug, following Fern around like a baby duckling. "Anyway, w-when is th-th-this 'miracle athlete' gonna g-get here?" More then anything, he was curious as to what she would be like. He had met a lot of different athletes in his life, with lots of different personalities.

After sorting his stuff, Aaron sat down his brother , his mates and the other dragons living here, this was also common.
“ so what kind of dragon are you?” One of the humans asked kindly,
Aaron tensed. “ I-I haven’t been able to turn yet.” He mumbled embaressed as he took a drink. “ I-I should go get my stuff ready for tommorow, excuse me.” He said returning to his usual facade of a bright and flirty young man. Once alone in his too. He began to cry, tears of frustration. Tommorow he’d do his best, he’d try to regain what he had lost.
Peggy had decided to have an early lunch and she was currently dining in one of the hotels restaurants, having a simple seafood salad and a pink lemonade, which was very good, she was updating her tumblr blog, which had an insane amount of followers, she’d gained a similar number of YouTube subscribers on her channel , Geek Week, every week she would have a different daily theme and activity, one week she had baking and medieval fantasy for the Monday spot and had made three videos for it. So she did a good job with that. She’d been considering publishing a book full of geeky activities but she’d decided to poll her fans for that.
Her godfather had even told her he’d be willing to invest in mercy if she decided to take him up on the offer, -
“I don’t know. Today’s just the prep day with tours, events, planning out our year, we don’t know when she or anyone else will come today, but we do officially start tomorrow.” Fern replied monotonously as she entered the Guidance Room to work on Student Council stuff.
