I have three ideas.
1. A villager hears rumours that there is a mountain that has a grand treasure at the top. As he climbs this mountain, the guardian tries to cause mischief on his journey in attempt to make him go away.
2. A pirate sales the sea with their crew and robs villages they pass. One day they discover a wizard in the village and bring them a board on their journeys.
3. A dragon tamer and Unicorn tamer meat by chance, and travel the world to compete to prove which species is better. -
