Tatsuya mumbled something about not understanding why Felix thought jaques was a nurse. Clearly the idea of roleplay was lost on this actual ball of cinnamon.
Tatsuya was shocked awake when Iyo slammed her tray down.
“ what’s wrong?” The boy asked in alarm.
The girl tossed him thennews paper she was carrying.
His eyes widened.
“ s -someone , s stuck these all around the school.”
Tatsuya looked angry. “ ...I’ll find out who did this.” He promised her quietly,
( my precious child Iyo : she’s arrived.
Background Iyo’s superhero after went missing, someone has decided to f--- with the poor girl by printing out and displaying hundreds of slanderous articles, accusing her father of being a villain, her uncle ( present mic) and even her mother of getting rid of him. Even Iyo herself is questioned.
Iyo happens to be their classmate and Tatsuyas ‘ anxiety’ buddy.)

Felix looked up and read the article before frowning. “Those idiots.” He muttered, rolling his eyes. Everything about the writing screamed Daniel. The photography screamed Vanessa as well. They were probably trying to lower Iyo’s reputation and confidence so she’d be easier to hit on.
(Can there be an announcement at some point for an assembly hosted by Daphne for the arts program?) -
( the articles themeselves wer elublished by licences journalists, though a few could easily be done by Dani,e and Vanessa.)
An announcement sounded for the assembly. They had around ten minutes,
Tatsuya glanced at Felix’s friend group. He got up and he walked over. Slamming the papers down.
“ I’m not sure yet which one of you did this, but you’re going to retract the statements.” He said his voice entirely monotone. -

Synthia and Sandy nearly jumped out of their skin. Synthia grabbed one of the papers and frowned as she read it. “Seriously guys? Again? These dating contests of yours don’t mean diddly squat if you harass your crushes like this. This isn’t healthy. Not for you, certainly not for them.” Synthia lectured them. The two rolled their eyes, clearly uncaring. This made Synthia have a rare emotion that magically made people pay attention to her. Short. Girl. Rage. “I’m sorry about this Tat. This really isn’t how I wanted us to make a first impression with you.” Synthia apologized, sincerely at first, then a stern tone to get her friends attention as she glared at them. The two began to shift in their seats. She sighed and shook her head before returning to her usual bubbly self. “Don’t worry, I’ll get them straightened out. Again, my dearest apologies.” Synthia assured him with a smile. “Uh... We’re just gonna-“ Daniel began, now actually showing fear. “Sit down Daniel.” Synthia told him passive aggressively.

Jacques watched the scene play out. He waved awkwardly at Iyo, who he had seen in the hallways before. "That's just gossip," he reassured her when he saw the article. Jacques had had his fair share of being the topic of gossip and rumors, with him being an extremely late bloomer and all. Bullies, crowds, getting looked down on, random fights (that he didn't initiate), it was a all a daily strife for him. Luckily, if Jacques had a good enough attitude and was a likable person then there was a small chance that people wouldn't bother him as much.

Iyo smiled shyly at Jaques,” people aren’t really willing to trust people with mind control quirks.” She mumbled. “ and that’s what I kind of have.”
Tatsuya nodded. “ if I see this happening again, I’ll call a sparring match with both of you. “ he said his voice quiet, but strong enough to be heard over the noise.
“ accepting would be your only option unless you wanted to become known as cowards.” He said and with a subtle demonstration of his quirk, he made the ground below the two crack before he repaired it, before anything could happen.
Tatsuya then walked back to the group.
“ Felix, have you met Iyo?” Tatsuya asked, as another one of their classmates sat down. Tooru Hagakure the invisible girl, only her clothes were visible.
“ Iyo-chan! You shouldn’t run off like that!” She sighed exasperated
“ s-sorry Tooru chan.” He said with a shy smile.
“ It’s funny we’re in the same class but rarely speak.”
Tokoyami fumikage also joined their table.
Tatsuya gave him a nod of acknowledgement which the birb boy returned. -
Daniel And Vanessa laughed. They were honest to being cowards, and knew even if they participated two against one would tilt the odds in their favour. “You two, hallway, now.” Synthia told them. The two silenced and shook their heads, knowing Synthia wouldn’t unleash her furry in a crowd for fear of hurting innocents.
Felix chuckled at the two and shrugged. “I’m not much of a socializer really. You’ve seen the people I hang out with right?” Felix chuckled. -
Iyo looked at him. “ It’s not who our friends are, it’s who we are.” She mumbled.
“ friends are like your family, so yeah it’s important but it’s not the only thing.” Tooru said.
Tokoyami seemed to agree, he just didn’t say anything.
“ ....I shouldn’t be telling you all this.” Iyo started quietly. “ but tommorow there’s a mini-tournament style competition, randomness generated fights, until two students remain.” She said quietly.
“ I-I’m not looking forward to it...” she said meekly.
Tatsuya looked at his classmates, as they had all joined the table by this point. “ As a class, I think we should promise not to try to embaress our opponents, if they happen to be a class member,”
( Iyo’s quirk is called Heroes song, and it infects anyone who hears it ( now anyone targeted within hearing range, with her support item.) and depending on certain things Iyo can make them believe they’re in pain.) -

"Oh, I will most definitely be sick during that," Jacques said at the mention of the tournament, meaning that he was gonna try to skip it by pretending to be sick. Aizawa would probably annihilate him if he didn't go through with it, but he would also be annihilated if did go through with it, so Jacques was f---ed either way. He supposed that Felix and Tatsuya would come out on top no matter who they fought, but he would get obliterated in the first round. Jacques really didn't want to make his boyfriends embarrassed or look bad, so if pretending to be sick wouldn't work then he would have to really try his best.

Tatsuya took his hand from across the table. “ you don’t need to win Jaques, we’ll be proud of you no matter where you place.” He smiled softly.
Tooru patted Jaques on the back. “ my quirk just makes me invisible, so I’m not suited to combat either.” She said gently.
Tokoyami had taken ahold of Iyo’s hand.
Iyo smiled shyly at him. She was clearly worried about the tournament too.

Tatsuya was sitting in their class when he was handed his first competitors name. “ it looks like I will be fighting your friends.” He told Felix. On the paper was Daniel.
Iyo panicked “ I-I’m fighting Vanessa.”
“ oh no I’m fighting you Jaques” Tooru said -
( the kind of goal is to get tatsuya and Felix to be the finalists.
At some point either jaques ( if he makes it To the second round?) or felix convince tatsuya so stop using only his ‘mothers’ quirk, and make him realise it’s not his fathers quirk. It’s his own.( -
