C1 has always felt like something in him is missing, like a part of him will never be whole and he will never have the answers since he has no connection to his family. C1 has very few memories of his parents, only spotty memories but cant remember most things about them but can remember one thing, crystal clear. He and his parents have the same mark in the same spot. C1 has been with the same family for many years but after the recent death of the woman who took care of him, he is sent to move in with her oldest child. Its there that he meets C2 an odd and mysterious person who constantly gets into fights. C1 is told by many people that he should, at all costs, avoid C2 but something draws him to C2 and thats when C1 realizes that C2 has the exact same mark as C1 just in a different spot. C1 keeps bugging C2 hoping to get some answers, something, anything but C2 keeps refusing and seems highly annoyed by C1s presence but never actually tells them to go away or gets aggressive. One night C1 goes out to a party with some new friends hes made but they end up splitting up and C1 gets attacked by someone and C2 saves him and starts to drag C1 off and back home. All the way C1 is nagging at C2 about answers and things and finally he snaps, he tells C1 that it was a mistake to come to town and that he wont tell him what the mark means but that hell protect him from the people who do. He says that it's safer if he doesnt know what the mark means so hell never know. But C1 still craves to know who his parents were, even if it gets him killed.
In all honesty, I haven't really thought about what the mark would symbolize but we could make that up later... How does that plot sound though? -

Alister stood out in the smoking area at the school, the hot air pounding against his body. Smoke curled around his hand as he leaned against the wall and listened to the dull chatter humming around the air. He lifted the cigarette up to his mouth and inhaled the smoke, he eventually slowly let it out of his mouth. He took one, overly large take of the smoke and then flicked it away. As he walked towards the school he let out the smoke slowly.
