Kalel sat beside the man, the messenger, as the scenery passed quickly around them. His entire body was sore, fresh cuts littered his body, mainly his back but some were in other parts. He wore his best clothes, which wasn't much, it was a black button-up shirt, when it was originally bought it was nice but now it was ripped in some places and stained with permanent stains and wore sun bleached overalls that hung off his waist and black flats. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows and his shirt was a bit undone, he had bandages wrapped around his one arm. He played with his fingers and laid his head back and closed his eyes

Kiera was sat in her room, tired after the celebration her brother had for her for her birthday. Even though it just included her brother and the staff of the castle though, it was better than nothing, and the few people she could call a friend were there. She was sat on her bed dressed in a simple knee length teal and lilac dress, the colors of the kingdom, as she was quietly humming a song to herself.

The man beside him had mumbled something about his clothes not being good enough but he was sure the man was referring to him entirely. The movement stopped and his entire most jerked around him and he fell off the seat onto the floor. He flinched but slowly got up and back onto the seat, the man gave Kalel a harsh look and opened the door and walked out, he followed slowly. A woman, who appeared to be a maid approached, "We need to change him." the messenger spoke,
"No time, the king with to do this now. As in right now." she huffed and waved for Kalel to follow her, which he did. -
Kiera was busy humming the song when she heard a knock at her door. "Come in!" she said loud enough to be heard, and so she turned to see one of the maids come in, an elderly lady who was in her mid forties, but she appeared older than she was. She was was named Ella, and was the one who raised Kiera basically, having worked in the castle ever since Kiera was born.
"Princess..."started the black haired woman who had just entered the room. "We are expecting a visitor...of sorts. The king-your brother. He asked of me to inform you to be dressed well by their arrival." she said with a smile.
Kiera smiled at the older woman and nodded her head. "T-thanks, Ella. I'll be ready " she replied, looking around. "Could you help me though?" she asked after a bit of silence. The older lady chuckled qyierly and nodded, walking towards the younger teen girl to help her quickly.
