"What occasion?" Tae asked, as they walked to the cafeteria.

"You'll have to guess." Kylie teased in a sing-song voice.

"Um," Tae said awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck, "Just tell me already."

"It's my one month anniversary with Jackson." She told him, blushing slightly as she told him.

Tae fronwed and stopped walking.

"What's wrong?" Kylie asked, turning to look at him in concern.

Tae looked at her, "I really don't like the fact that you're fake dating that a--hole anymore."

Kylie looked a bit shocked, but understood why he was upset. "You don't know Jackson. He seemed like a cocky a--hole when I first met him... But after I really got to know him he turned out to have a really big heart." Kylie explained.

"So you're falling for him?" Tae asked, a bit shocked, "Any smart girl wouldn't be stupid to fall for that. And I thought you were smart. I liked you for years you know. And then you fall for an a--hole in just a month. You're really stupid, Kylie!" Tae lost his s---, yelled at her, and stormed off.

Kylie stood there in shock, just staring at the place where Kim had been standing. She tried to process this, her skin now pale. She looked around the cafeteria in embarrassment before leaving to eat in the hall.
Kylie ate alone at her locker, still trying to process all this information. Was she an idiot for falling for Jackson? What made her fall for him in the first place? When did Kim start liking her? Why did he like her? Should she have felt the same about him? Why didn't she?
She would have chosen Kim over someone like Jackson anytime in her life... How did she fall for Jackson instead? Was she really an idiot? These questions swirled around her head as she beat herself up trying to answer them. Tears began to fall from her cheeks as she tried to eat and tried to think about something else. Maybe she was an idiot... -
Jackson searched around the halls for Kylie. He spotted her by her locker and sighed in relief, "Hey! You really scared me to death, ya know. Why are you here all by yourself?" He asked, then his gaze on her softened and he felt a pang of pain in his chest seeing her cry, "Why are you crying??"

"I'm not crying." She lied, wiping away her tears before smiling at him. "See? I'm fine." She lied, not wanting him to worry. "Why were you scared?" She added, wanting to change the topic.

"I'm not stupid. Why were you crying? I asked first." Jackson told her.

Kylie sighed and fidgeted with her fingers. "I think I just lost one of my best friends..." She told him, rubbing her arm as tears returned to her cheeks.

"And who's that?" Jackson asked
