Four children are chosen to attend an Academy for students with magical powers, the Academy of Myst. In confusion since they don't have powers, the four children accept. When they all arrive, they are given crystal necklaces which give them powers. The children do not understand why it was them who were chosen, but some are proud, some not.
C1 is an above average student. They are highly intelligent and intellectual. Often being made fun of for being "nerd," they are a little insecure, but they believe having the powers will help them get over those insecurities. >C2 suffers from a troubled childhood. They didn't have the best life, parents, or influences. Once, they had run away, but were caught and punished. They were always getting into trouble at their school and ended up being expelled. When they received the invitation to the Academy of Myst, their parents gladly sent them off.
C3 attended a private school before the Academy of Myst. They were very rich and their family was quite famous around their hometown. They had a perfect life, except for they didn't have many friends because they were often judged and called snobby. They had a best friend, but they had been drifting apart. Then, C3 received the invitation. They left their life behind. >C4 was fairly popular at their previous school. They were most athletic, played almost every sport, and that's what their life was dedicated to. Until, they got an injury and could no longer play. Even when it healed, it was still difficult. They were saddened amd felt like their whole life was ruined. Then, the invitation came.

She can hear people's thoughts about her as if they are talking to her. Example. She can hear thoughts like: You're such a prick! But not thoughts like: She's such a prick! She also is good at spotting a person's weak points for pleasure, battle, or ticklish. She doesn't know how to tell the types of weak spots apart yet. She has to learn through experimenting. -
