Today Addi Kate was admitted to the hospital full time. Addi kate was rolled on a bed into a room with someone who she recognized as the girl she used to bully. Addi Kate's heart lurched as she felt guilty and embarrassed. Addi Kate sheepishly looked at the girl and rubbed her arm nervously. -
Ilia turned her head to see the newcomer. Her eyes filled with shock to find that it was the girl that used to bully her. She quickly whipped her head back towards the window. Her hands clutched the blanket until her knuckles turned white. What would she say? Would she still be mean? And why was she here?

Addi Kate was silently rolled over by the girl on her bed. Addi Kate had tons of IVs in and her heart monitor beeping. Addi Kate looked ashamed of her self and mumbled out a feeble apology. "I'm sorry. I'm such a terrible person."

Ilia turned her head for a minute, still in shock. These were definitely not the words she expected from her former bully. She opened her mouth, but a nurse came in as if on cue with her tray of lunch. It was bland oatmeal, a small, chocolate covered strawberry, a carton of milk, and goldfish.

Addi Kate was staring at the floor and looked up as the nurse walked in. Addi had already eaten her lunch and was ready to take a short nap but decided against it.

Ilia chewed slowly, staring at Addi Kate from across the room. She wanted to ask why Addi Kate was in the hospital, but decided not to draw any attention to herself. It seemed that Addi Kate had already found out why Ilia had missed so many days of school.

Addi Kate had a nurse come into the room and check her vitals. Addi layed her head against her pillow and stared off into space wondering what she was going to do in her last while of living

The nurse smiled at Ilia."This is your roommate Addi Kate," she said. "I'm sure you two will get along great." The nurse unplug the IV in Ilia's arm. "Your surgery is in the morning," she stated cheerfully before leaving the room. Ilia turned towards Addi Kate and made a face that clearly said 'The nurse is babying me again.'

Addi Kate laughed softly. "Is this what they are all like here?"

Ilia nodded, still not speaking. She pointed to the colorful pink to do list that sat in front of her bed. It had been decorated by the nurses, and clearly said that they were expecting a little girl to come in.

Addi nodded and then looked at the floor. "You have no idea how sorry I am for all that torture I put you through."

Ilia shrugged. "I'm used to it," she said in a husky voice. "Whenever I would walk around without my wig, people would stare and back away. Parents would hold their kids close. Sure, it hurt, but I've det with worse." She pointed to the long scar on her stomach.

Addi was ashamed of herself and just nodded. "But I made it all worse." -
Ilia turned towards the window silently for a minute, and then turned back. "So...is it too much to asked why you're here?" she questioned cautiously.
