(Thank you! I just got on to respond to these~!)
Manov listened to what Aurel was telling him. Part of him couldn't believe it, but then again, what other choice did he have. He didn't have any proof he was lying, plus, it felt good to have a conversation with someone that could actually talk back. "Even though you have nothing to offer, you look like...like you've gone through the worst battle ever." he said, scanning the area around him and spotted a bush that had small fruit hanging off it. He walked over and picked a couple of pieces, peeling the skin and biting into it, the taste of citrus filled his mouth. It felt like an angel choir had exploded from heaven and was singing the best that they ever had. "So, the least I could do is help you." He continued to eat the fruit, firmly satisfied after he ate the last one in his hand.
He walked back over to Aurel and looked at him. "You ride your horse, since I am assuming that is yours. I'll walk and lead you where to go. The village isn't that far from here, and I'm sure that you could find some help there. Just be cautious. Not many people like me, so..I tend to make myself scarce." He walked beside Aurel as he approached his horse. Maybe this wasn't going to be as bad as he thought. Something did feel different about this. Maybe his life was changing for the better. -

(Hi, sorry, just got off work!)
"You shouldn't. I don't deserve it, I really don't have anything to offer you," Aurel, despite his words, stumbled towards his horse. He wasn't sure what to make of the stranger, but he almost wished he was a Mask, almost wished he would kill him if only to put him out of his own misery.
Getting on the horse was a lot more difficult than Aurel had anticipated. Normally, he'd grab a handful of mane and swing himself up with ease, but now he could only lean heavily against the mare. She craned her head around to nuzzle his cheek. A small lizard had somehow found its way onto the top of her bridle, and once it spied Aurel, it jumped quickly onto his shoulder. It was unsurprising. Animals both big and small had always adored him, even when Aurel had wanted nothing to do with them.
He decided to play off not being able to get on the horse, petting her blood-red coat for a second before turning to Manov curiously. "Why don't they like you?" -
(It's okay! :3)
Manov looked at the boy, unsure of what to say. Not many people talked him outside of the village, and most assuredly they didn't ask why he was 'shunned'. He stared at the boy for a good manner of time before he spoke again. "Make yourself as comfortable as you can. This is going to take a while." he said, sitting on the ground where he was standing. The ground felt surprisingly soft, and he took a deep breath, imaging his younger years with a pained expression.
"Before I tell you, you must understand that the people of my village have certain...magical abilities." he said, as his eyes looked past Aurel. He quickly sbapped back into focus, promptly apologizing before he contined. "I don't remeber who my parents are. All I recall is being housed by a family that the other villagers called The Hendricks. They were a family with exceptional magical abilities that others envied." He looked down at his hands, wriging them together. "As I grew up in their home, they treated me like I was one of their own. I was raised with their son, David. Or as others called him, Davey. He would always boast of his magical abilities, but one could see they were out of control. While I was inside the home, Davey never did anything to hurt me, but that changed as soon as i had to go to school. I hadn't discovered my magical abilities yet, but other kids had." Manov took a deep breath, recalling all of the things he had to endure. "In short, let's just say I was taught from home. The other villagers looked at me like was a disgrace. I could no longer go outside without someone staring, or coming up with a crude remark. My family stood up for me, declaring that when they found me, the village was bound to treat me like one of their own. There was no written law saying this, but it was common decency to do so."
"After my family declared that they would protect me at all costs, the head villagers removed Davey from the home and exiled our parents. After that, the home was burned to the ground and I was sent to live at the edge if town, to hunt and forage for myself. Of course there are things I haven't told you, but that's basically it." he said, his voice cracking slightly. "They treat me different because I don't have an ounce of magic blood in my veins." -
