Paz kept his eyes on the woman as he starred at her, trying to see if she was trying to buy time for herself. He knew his one cut wasn't too bad, but with her it could get better and more. "Give me a good reason as to why I shouldn't kill you?" he asked back at her.
-
Constance licked her lips, her brows furrowed as she thought of a reason not to have her killed at the hands of this man. She clenched her fist around the knife, drumming her fingers on the knife's hilt. ''My reason not to have me killed is simple, we've been dealing with absolute monarchs for too long. Our rights as civilians have been mistreated and we, the people must stand up against this discrimination,'' Constance said, her words following past her lips as she spoke of what she believed. ''I'm the voice of the people, I may not be able to end absolute monarchy but, I am a voice that shall not be silenced,'' She added, her brows furrowed in pure determination, not wishing to die but, let alone not wishing to have her dreams die with her.
-
Paz listened closely as the woman spoke, yes he knew she was a speaker for these things. But he did not know some. He contemplated on what to do as he kept staring at her with a blank face, deep in thought. "You do all of what you do for the people-the innocent ones. Well, not all of them. But still. If you do indeed have such a impact here, why and who would want you taken out then?" he asked her. "I usually would just go through with this, yes. But you do what you do for the people, and would risk soir life for it all?"
-
''Someone who is perhaps a noble, someone who wants to keep their riches and have their rights. The poor have no say in government, therefore no such thing as equality lives within our kingdom, well my kingdom,'' Constance said, her guard lowering as she thought of who would want her dead. ''It's someone who is all evil, someone who wants nothing more than power over the people and dislikes my ideas, that I know for sure,'' Constance said, the knife resting on her fingers, barely hanging onto her grasp. ''If you were to kill me, and everyone within these lands gets their rights respected, I will gladly die. My time may have been short but, I have achieved my goals. But, if I were to further live, I will not stop at the people's rights, I will abolish absolute monarch,'' Constance added, answering his questions with ease.
-
Paz stared at her contemplating what he should do, she was a good person after all. She didn't need to die, and who knows what would happen if she did? With a sigh, he slowly lowered his blade back to his side, keeping his eyes on her still, of course. "I-" he began shaking his head. "I can't kill you, no. But if I don't, they will only hire more to come after you though. I know this." he said looking to the sky above head. "You're safety here will not be guaranteed, or anything if I don't. But I can't kill you. Even if I am an assassin, you are someone with too much good inside of you." he finished.
-
Constance took a deep breath of relief, air filling her lungs as she gazed at the man. ''Thank you,'' She mumbled, the knife dangling from her fingers. ''But, we must have your arm treated before it gets an infection,'' Constance said, grabbing her things, placing the knife into her bag to hide it later. ''I possibly won't be in this town for long, for as you said, my safety isn't guaranteed but, for you not taking my life I would like to heal the damage I caused,'' She added, her thin finger pointing to the cut in his arm.
-
Pax nodded his head to the woman, and sheathed his sword soon after, seeing no reason to keep it out anymore now. The man stared St the cut on his arm, moving his arm around a bit. It want the worse he has had, but if not treated it could easily worsen quickly. "As you wish. Just-you know what you are doing, correct?" he asked her, wanting to make sure he wasn't trusting this with someone with no knowledge of what to do.
-
''I know the basics but, you'll most likely have to find a professional doctor. I'll simply clean and wrap it in bandages to avoid infection,'' Constance said, approaching the man. She gazed at the wound, her eyes on the slash she had given him. ''My deepest apologies but, I am glad to understand I did what I did to protect myself, I'll fix up the wound and fetch the nearest doctor,'' Constance said, watching the slow drops of blood trickle down his arm.
-
Sorry)
Paz stared at the woman, trusting her some. He nodded. "Its alright, I understand. Just don't do it again." he said. "I have someone onboard my ship who can help me though. No need to get a doctor." he referred to the woman who was basically the doctor of his ship for when the men AMD woman of the crew gotwounded or sick. -
''Well, if you have a doctor aboard I'll just make sure you'll get there safely,'' Constance mumbled, adjusting her bag. ''We should run along now, don't want you catching an infection,'' She added, beginning to walk down the path towards the harbor.
