red whined softly and lowered his head as he clicked his lower jaws together

"Shift.'' Rylee said, her voice flat, no emotion.

red slowly and painfully shifted back to his normal skeleton self

Rylee stared at him, the mate bond was about to vanish because she was about to reject him.

red stared down at the floor and was tremblinging slightly, deep cuts and cracks covering his bones

Rylee shook her head "What did they do to you?"
