Matylda walked with the woman until they reached the clearing near the Banshee's cabin. Matylda then took a sharp rock from the ground and kicked down the woman. The woman let out a scream, grabbing Matylda's arm to stop her from stabbing her with the stone.
Bairbre served the children breakfast and heard the sound of a woman's screen. "Mommy!?!" Susan yelled, running to the door. "Wait. She might have gotten attacked. I'll go see what happened. You stay here." Bairbre told the children, locking the door on her way out so intruders wouldn't come.
Matylda saw Bairbre and Bairbre saw Matylda. Bairbe knew that this was Susan's mother and began to fight the banshee. The woman ran behind a tree to hide as Bairbe and Matylda got into a violent fight. Bairbe let out a shrill scream that caused Matylda to fall to her knees. Bairbe grabbed the woman and brought her towards the cabin so she could get her to safety. Matylda frowned as Bairbe locked herself and the children and the child's mother in the cabin for safety. Matylda sighed and returned to the lake. She would have to move to a new area if all the children here were protected. -
Aisha had dozed off, it seemed. The sound of pounding awoke her. Someone was inside the cave! Quickly turning into a bat, she flew up to the roof and watched; waited.
She froze. Into the living room walked two male carcers! Aisha let out a sharp gasp. One of the men gazed around. He glanced up, and his eyes landed on Aisha for a second. That second was his last. Speeding into the air, Aisha turned into a human, twisted in the air, and brought her good foot down onto his head with a sharp crack. Blood stained the cave floor as she quickly turned around to the second hunter. Grabbing him by the top of his head and the bottom of his jaw, she quickly broke his neck and sucked the blood out of his neck before it stopped flowing. The second hunter was still alive, but unconscious. Dragging him to the cave wall, she sucked his blood clean. She then rid the cave of the pale, lifeless corpses. Carcers! What are they doing here? She wondered out loud. Soon, she smelled it. It was the smell of fresh blood, about a mile away. She quickly sped into the forest. What she found, made her collapse to the ground. -
Arihant came back into the town, he had just killed a bear and ate as much of it as he could. When he got into the town he saw Cho walking away from a tavern, so he walked over to her, once within earshot he heard her say, "So what they say is true, elves do taste better than humans." he tilted his head, "Did you just eat a dark elf? I'm pretty sure they don't taste that good." she shook her head, "No, I ate a light elf." Arihant stared at her, "But light elves are Carcers, they live behind the Wall, why would one be here?" Cho sighed, "Because some Carcers have been going on hunts, killing people for no reason other than fun and excitment."
Oda continued to swim until she came across a girl, the girl looked like she had just been in a fight, and Oda didn't know if that was a good thing or not. She could follow the girl around and steal any food from her that she can, but the girl could also probably kill her if she caught her stealing, or she could kill her to eat without even knowing her plan to steal. As she considered her options Oda forgot to hide from the creature who might kill her if they see her, and was therefore very obvious and visible. (Yes, the girl is Matylda.) -
(Are you thinking they'll fight, be love interest, or just friends?
-
(Oda and Matylda? Just friends.)
-
(Okay.)
(Checked Ora's card again. LOL. Makes sense that they'd be friends and not love interest. LOL.)
Matylda stared at the small cat like creature and stood her guard. She didn't really like the taste of animals. If she trained the cub, she could train the cub to help her hunt. Giving her more of an edge in a fight. Matylda approached the cub and kneeled beside it to study it closer. -
Aisha dropped to her knees. There, lying before her, in a puddle of blood, was her mother. Her once beautiful face now lifeless and cole. Her silver locks strung around her, now sticky with dried blood. Aisha panicked and checked for a pulse.
There was none.
Something overcame Aisha. A new kind of fear. Almost as if it wasn't real. She threw back her head and screamed.
A long, loud, high, distressed scream that echoed through the trees and lingered in the deepest parts of one's mind. Not one ear could strain away from the horrific sound.
It was followed by sobs. Sobs that racked her tiny frame. She fell to the ground sobbing, and sobbing, until she could sob no more. Then, she cried silently, no tears forming, only the pained expression on her delicate face. -
Arihant blinked and then laughed, "They really are hypocrites, aren't they?" Cho nodded, "Yeah."
Obelix heard a scream nearby, it sounded different than the scream he heard the day before. So he decided to see if someone was hurt, he wasn't sure if he'd be able to help if someone was, but it couldn't hurt to try.
Oda froze when the girl noticed her, but relaxed when she didn't attack. She didn't move as the girl studied her because she didn't know how she'd react. -
The cat like creature seemed to have small claws and teeth. So it might not be that good in battle. However it might be more useful as an adult. However until then, its just another mouth to feed. Perhaps the creature would hunt for itself as training. Plus it would be nice to have some company. She decided to ask the oldest tree in the forest for information on the creature and gently picked the creature up the way one would hold a cat.

Aisha turned over to a tree and began to vomit. After she got rid of her rations, she began to vomit up stomach acid that burned the inside of her throat. Tears stung her eyes as she wiped her mouth. Sitting down next to her deceased mother, Aisha held her hand and began to drift off to sleep.
-
"So, what do you want to do?" Cho asked Arihant, "Can we fight something?" she laughed, "Did you not fight something for breakfast? Besides, I'm not in the mood to go looking for a fight." the manticore grumbled at this and the two continued to walk through the town.
Oda meowed in surprise when she was picked up, but she didn't try to escape because if the girl had intended to kill her, she would be dead. -
Matylda reached the tree and placed the cub in a soft patch of long grass. Then sat down in front of a large tree that was wider around than a house and about as tall as a mountain. This was the oldest tree in the forest. For the past 200 years this tree has seen everything in The forest. And for 130 years before that went on around it. "Elder Tree? Do you know who this cub is." Matylda asked the tree.
-
Aisha heard footsteps coming from a bit away. She instantly stood up and retreated to the nearest tree. She watched and waited....waiting for the carcer coming to claim the body of her mother. She was ready to pounce.
-
Obelix walked until he came across the dead body of a woman lying in front of a cave, he assumed she was the one who screamed and decided that he should probably leave before whoever killed her attacked him too.
Oda tilted her head, she wondered what the girl was doing. -
Matylda listened to the tree describe the specious. The specious was a skilled fighter on land and in water. The specious would grow with sharp scales, claws, and teeth. As well as have great speed and skill. Matylda petted the creature as the tree continued to tell the little cub's story.
