The Kuolema Forest, also known as the Forest of Death, is thought to be the most dangerous place in all of Uxolo. No one who has gone there has ever returned, which is why people believe that it is full of dangerous monsters. But the truth is, the Forest of Death is actually one of the safest places in the world.
Elves, fairies, satyrs, and other nature loving creatures, live in the forest. And the reason that no one who has gone there has returned, is because the inhabitants of the forest work hard to keep out all outsiders so that the forest will stay a safe place.
Anyway, enough about the forest. The kingdom of Uxolo is now under the rule of a powerful warlock named Meldryk Balavan. Meldryk doesn't like that the Kuolema Forest is a place he can't control, so he sends some of his best warriors to the forest to see for themselves what it is like.
C1 is the best of the warriors and is the only one that actually manages to enter the forest, all of the others quickly got killed. The reason C1 didn't die with them was because they had the other warriors enter the forest before they did, and the Forest Guard that killed the other warriors lost concentration and didn't notice C1.
C2 is the Forest Guard that didn't notice C1, this was their first time guarding because their brother who usually guarded this spot at this time wanted to hang with some friends that night, but he couldn't do that and guard, so he asked C2 to take his place for the night.
C3 doesn't like the new king, but they knew they couldn't overthrow him, so they decided to go to the forest, knowing that the the king would have no way to affect their life there, and they were willing to risk death. They get into the forest by going through the same spot as C1, and C2 is still distracted.
C4 is very curious person, they are also very smart and have written many books, but one subject they have yet to write about is the Forest of Death, and they are very curious about it. So they go there and get in the same way as C1 and C3.
C1, C3, and C4 come across each other not long after entering to forest and they talk a little. C2 finally notices the three people they accidentally let into the forest, but before they can kill them C4 notices C2 and the three people manage to convince C2 not to kill them. So instead of killing them, C2 takes them to an abandoned cabin, no one ever goes to the cabin so it is the perfect place to hide. After getting settled in the three people do what they came to the forest to do, C1 learning the true very minimal dangers of the forest, C4 learning everything they can about the forest, and C3 just living their life, happy to be away from the king. Meanwhile, C2 is trying to keep the other inhabitants of the forest from finding out they had let outsiders in.

The closest things to humans in this world are wizards. They all look like humans. Wizards have magic of course, male wizards are called warlocks and female wizards are called witches.
The word human in this world refers to all humanoid creatures.
