Max held her hand her untill they got to the roof shack. "So what happened" he asked her

Nadia sighed. When I turned 14, my mom left. She didnt say where or why, she just...left. It drove my dad into depression. He began to drink and drink and drink. Hes drunk everyday and every night. I dont come home unless Im sure hes passed out. Even then, I lock my bedroom door. Once, her was so drunk, he hit me over the head with a bottle. I told the doctor I fell riding my bike without a helmet. I started getting into demons around 13, before my mom left, so my dad always blames me for her leaving. When I turned 15, the bullying got really, really bad. I began to cut. It helped take my mind of the emotional pain. I cut, and cut and cut every night. Until one night. I tried to take my own life. It did not succeed. I was found unconscious by a passerby and taken to the hospital. I told them I got hit by a car. They believed me. I decided to stop self harm after that. I cant believe Im telling you this. She shifted her weight from each foot.

Max stood there in shock "I understand now thats why the demons decided to go after you" he said with a sigh wishing he could do something for her "Do you still live with your dad?" he asked

Nadia shook her head. I come in from time to time to clean the house and make him look nicer. Douse him with perfume sometimes. But I mainly love up on this roof in my shack. I earn money for my dad and me, and I pay for food and help him pay his housebills. We get food stamps for most of our food. She paused for a minute. I hate him, but he is my dad, so I take care of him. Hes all I have.

Nadia sighed. I forgot. Demons dont have anyone, do they? She turned pink, and looked away. You have me. She said.

He looked at her and noticed she was turning pink and he looked away so he would not turn red before saying "Yea I do have you"

Nadia cleared her throat. So..what now?

"Honestly I dont know... I got new orders to play the life of a human untill otherwise" he said with a sigh "I need to go find a place to crash so thats more than likely be doing"

Nadia looked up. You could stay in my place, but its really cramped and small.

"Maybe because finding a house at the moment may be hard" he said nodding

Yeah Nadia smiled slightly. My Mocha Latter probably melted

"Thats what your worried about" he said playing with hef

Nadia laughed. Sure, lets go with that.

He sighed "I'm going to go buy me some clothes" then looked at her "You wanna come you could help me pick stuff out that is popular"
