Christen slowly made her way down the stairs of her home. She had a pair of simple shorts and a longsleeve tee shirt on as she went. Her bare feet quietly hitting against the floor. She was nervous because she had heardher parents arrive outside, and she knew they had a surprise for her. She just didn't know what it was, though she did hear them before talking about adopting someone so she wouldn't be so alone. She stood there at the bottom of the steps as she heard the doorknob being turned, and soon she saw her parents walking in. But behind them was a boy who looked around her age, maybe. She doesn't say anything, but stares at the stranger, unsure kg who or why his there. But she has a feeling about the why.
