This is in a world like ours but there is also magic and magical creatures. Humans and magical creatures get along perfectly fine and some humans have magic. But just because humans and magical creatures don't fight, it doesn't mean that no one does. Witches and warlocks, also known as dark wizards, are people who do dark magic, which makes pretty much everyone else who isn't a dark wizard hate them because as you know, dark magic is evil magic. So because of this all of their magic schools are hidden. This takes place in a certain dark magic school that is also an orphanage of sorts, they take in young orphans and train them in dark magic. In this place all of the familiars of the students who are the best at dark magic have recently died, so they need new ones. Some people who work at the the school go out and capture some magical creatures to be the kids' new familiars. But none of these animals want to be familiars and they try to escape, but they quickly learn that they can't leave the school so they decide to learn as many secrets about dark wizards as they can so they can tell someone important if they ever manage to get out of this place. And the kids who are these creatures' new owners have no idea what their familiars are doing and why they wont do anything they tell them to that most familiars would do.
Modern.
Everyone has two characters, a familiar and a dark wizard.
Your familiar character can't be your dark wizard character's familiar, it has to be someone else's familiar.
Some of the familiars might fall in love. Some of the dark wizards might fall in love and some might already be together.
None of the familiars that died did so because of old age, because all magical creatures can live at least as long as humans, so unless they were really old they didn't die of old age.
Obviously witches are female dark wizards and warlocks are male dark wizards.
No having the same species as anyone else.
My witch is a werewolf vampire hybrid, and my familiar is a demon angel cat.
All the familiar characters can talk to animals and understand English but they can't speak English, and all of the dark wizards can't talk to animals, so you can't have your dark wizard be able to turn into an animal. And by the way my werewolf vampire can't turn into a wolf.
Starts at night when the animals get captured and the dark wizards are doing whatever.
After everyone makes their characters we will decide who is who's familiar and what the dark wizards will name their familiars because they can't talk to animals and therefor can't know their real names, only the dark wizards will call the familiars by whatever the dark wizards named them.

Bio:Her parents were killed when she was very young, she wondered the streets for a few days until she was found and taken to the school, she never bothered to make friends and spent all of her time working on her magic until she was one of the best. Her familiar died of starvation because she forgot about him and left him locked in a closet for a few days, she still isn't sure how he got there. -

Appearance:She looks like a fluffy white cat with three tails that at the halfway point they start to be black then at the tips they are red, up to the middle of her legs is black and her paws are red, at the halfway point on her ears they start to be black and the tips are red, she has black feathered wings with red tips, her eyes are red, and she has glowing demon horns that are floating just off her head, what color they are depends on her mood.
Powers:She can levitate things as long as she is physically strong enough to carry them and they aren't to far away, she can fly, she can levitate herself but it takes as much energy as when she uses her wings to fly, can see in the dark, can control light and shadows, can make it lighter or darker, and can control fire and water.
Personality:Cheerful, energetic, friendly, talks a lot, talks pretty fast, doesn't really understand the concept of personal space, is scared of barely anything, and is a bit of a trouble maker.
Bio:She was born as a pet but she ran away, she lived in the wild and on the streets and was very happy, she got a lot of attention from children and they would often give her delicious food, but she got most of her food from hunting. -
