Years into the future- far beyond the 2000s- strange people were discovered. These people had strong magical abilities; god-like ones. People admired them- but some were afraid. These magical beings overpowered the government, swiftly rising to power and creating their own monarchy of sorts. Normal citizens attempted to rebel. They all were shut down, one by one. After a year of this, the magical beings decided that humans didn't deserve to be around. In fact, they were seen as a burden. A threat. Instead of killing humans, the magical beings sealed all humans away inside of crystals. There, they would be frozen in time for hundreds of years.
Now, humans are being released from their crystallized prisons. They have been given two options: follow the laws laid down by the magical ones, or risk losing their lives.
A small group of young adults have decided to fight against this rule. This risk could very well mean they lose everything. However, there is also the chance that they will save the entire human race. The only question is.. Will they succeed, or will everyone who takes a stand be crystallized or murdered for their crimes?
You can have OCs that are half magic.
Up to you to decide if your characters date or not.

Life Before Crystallization: Theo had been attending college, just barely starting his freshmen year. He had mixed feelings for what was going on with the all-powerful beings until he watched some of his friends get slaughtered right in front of him. Before he could make his own crazy stand- or worse, end his life- he was frozen just as the others had been.

Personality: Moody, loud, obnoxious. Tends to act like a spoiled prince.
Life Before Crystallization: Amadeus was the secret lovechild between his humane mother and one of the all powerful gods. Despite the fact that he was magical, the Gods themselves had forbidden interaction with what they called "human trash." While his mother loved him, his father hated him. If Amadeus ever attempted to use his magic, his father would know- and he would be punished severely for it. When humans were crystallized, Amadeus was put under the spell despite his roots. He was a high school drop out that stayed at home at the time.
