This is in a world where there is magical and non-magical creatures, the magical creatures that are as sentient as humans live mostly like humans, just with more magic. Magic is a normal thing in this world, though humans are usually jealous of magic, but there hasn't been some huge war between magic and technology, mostly because magic would win because it can do more and the magical creatures have access to technology and because humans and magical creatures live together.
Anyway, just because there isn't a war doesn't mean there isn't violence between the two, there has been many murders because of the difference between humans and magical creatures, whether it's humans killing magical creatures or magical creatures killing humans, it has happened. But things like this haven't happened for some time now.
Recently there has been deaths of both humans and magical creatures, the deaths seemed like accidents or suicides and they seemed completely unrelated. But people soon figured out that these deaths were murders and they were related, the main clue was the fact that all the victims were rich and/or famous, and other clues were slight similarities in the deaths. No one could figure out any other similarities in the victims other than they were all rich and/or famous, and no one could figure any motives for the deaths, and there has been many suspects but they have all been proven innocent.
Now, our characters are all magical creatures who are rich, famous, and successful. They all get invited to a party by a king of a country of only magical creatures who had recently become king because his father died of old age. Only magical creatures who are rich and/or famous were invited to this party.
Our characters already knew each other, but they're just acquaintances, but they all happen to be some of this kings closest friends.
At this party there is serious talk about the murders and what they should do about them. And when the party is over all the guests go to the same hotel, and when our characters wake up in the morning they find out that all the other people who went to the party are dead, and they can tell they were killed by whoever was killing all those other people. But the odd thing is, our characters weren't killed, and they're some of the most rich and famous people in the world.
Our characters realize that they probably don't have much longer until they are killed so they decide to figure out who killed all these people and why before they kill anyone else.
Modern.
Most of the countries in this world are the same as the countries in our world.
Just so you know, the kings name is Theodore but his friends and family call him Theo.
Starts when they are at the party.
They have to be wearing their fancy outfits at the party.
No one can have the same species as anyone else.

My character is the CEO of an animal care company and she secretly is also a murderer, thief, sells illegal drugs, etc. She's basically a crime lord.

Job:She is the CEO of C.E.T.O.C., or Creatures for the Ethical Treatment of Other Creatures. (She's terrible at naming things.) But she is secretly a murderer, thief, sells illegal drugs, and other crimes. She basically a crime lord, and crime is where she gets most of her money.
Powers:Infinite life span(She can be killed), can talk to animals, and healing powers.
Weapon:A black cane sword.
Personality:Sarcastic, swears quite a bit, intelligent, determined, doesn't care about other people's feelings, cheerful, optimistic, insane, hates pants, and loves fedoras.
Bio:Her mother was a fallen angle when Clover was born but now she's a demon. She never knew her mother and grew up with her father who was a satyr. Her father is dead and she doesn't know where her mother is. She was a criminal from a young age and her father never knew that. She is the richest female in the world, and one of the most famous. She can speak almost all languages. People are often suspicious of her and she is often investigated but nothing is ever proven, in fact, she was even a suspect for the murders, which is one of the very rare times that she is investigated for something she didn't do.

She almost always with Clover and they don't get along at all because of their contrasting personalities and the fact that Inferno tries to stop Clover from doing the thing she loves the most, crime. Inferno is pretty much the only thing keeping Clover from making nukes and nuking anywhere she wants to. -
