Kirby showed a loading screen on his eyes and said "Download commencing."

Candace laughed. "Funny that you're the one to teach the robot social skills. Will he be as kind and lively as you?" Candace asked sarcastically. Rolling her eyes and trying to find a way to sit that covered all her private parts.

"Oh come on don't be so dramatic! I'm a girl, having the same parts as you, and he's a robot. It's not even a real person," Violet said without a hint of guilt. "But if you must be so persistent, here," Violet said, taking off her lab coat and handing it to her.

Candace took the lab coat and buttoned it up. She looked at the ground and twiddled her thumbs. Why did this happen to her? She'd rather be dead, where she was supposed to be. Knowing that her family cared about her. Of course they did! Why should she let this evil woman tamper with her mind. She sat there quietly, wondering what was going to happen next.

Kirby's download was taking a little bit of time and for he time being, he couldn't do anything.

Violet checked Kirby's download and saw it would take probably half an hour or so. She would have to do something about the genetic half wolf, couldn't leave it bored. "How about I teach you some science tricks?" Violet asked Candace with an encouraging smile. "There are so many things I could teach you!" Violet said. She had always wanted to be a teacher, but at her age she wasn't qualified yet, though she knew just as much as college teachers and more. "Kirby can help when he's done with the download. Sit tight there, Kirby."

"What are you going to teach me? How to sit, roll over, and beg like a good dog?" Candace asked sarcastically. "Or are you gonna teach me what you think are human things like stealing a dead girl's body and turning her into a lab rat?" She asked, returning to sitting there quiet.

Violet chuckled. "Oh my father used to have a sense of humor too, hun. Excuse me for trying to redeem your education! Don't you think if you play nice I might just let you go?" Violet asked. "That reminds me, what kind of things do you like? And you too, Kirby. What are your hobbies, your interests, I want to learn everything about you!" Violet said sort of friendly like. She then took out a notebook, though, and that kind of ruined the moment.

Candace looked up and smirked. "Well, I like cheese, running through mazes, and little food pellets I'll get as an award before I get my brain dissected." Candace replied, naming the jobs of a lab rat. She knew this woman saw her as an experiment and not as a person.

Kirby wasn't fooled for a moment and said very strictly "She asked you a serious question. I suggest you answer it truthfully."

"See Kirby agrees with me," Violet said with a smug smile. Though what Candace said was all jokery, Violet was scribbling on her paper furiously. She had the type of handwriting that she could write fast with yet be completely neat and readable, a scientist's dream handwriting.

"Kirby's a robot!!! He doesn't understand what I'm going through. And I wouldn't expect him to. You, however are human. And you're in my age group even! So I don't expect that from you. Humans don't turn other humans into Slaves!!! Not since 1863, at least." Candace told her. "You are human... Right?" She joked, raising an eyebrow.

Kirby was confused at Candace's statement of slavery. He asked "Who said you were a slave?"
