"I'll have to take it down anyway to do that. I don't know, it might become a bigger deal if I take it down, maybe I'll just make some other video that people will pay more attention to and then they won't look at that one so much, and then I mean if your dad finds out and he gets pissed off or something I don't care if you come crawl through my window and stay there that wouldn't really be that bad," he was practically mumbling to himself by the end of his run on sentence of a statement, then sighed.
"I don't mind talking to you," he said. Talking to James seemed nice- he wasn't too loud or annoying and he wasn't uninteresting, he hated boring people and James wasn't boring. "I'm, like, mutual about talking to you. I don't usually, but I guess talking to a camera all the time gets a little tiring. Everyone I've known in real life thinks I'm a jerk, though, because I'm pretty blunt I guess, so if you think so too that's okay." -
"How many views does it have? Can't you just.. I dunno. I don't really do social media," He admitted, scratching the back of his neck. Ryan was done with the bread stick, and in the process of climbing off Sage's bed. James listened silently, slowly lowering his head into his hands. "f---. Let's just hope it doesn't come to that. I probably won't be able to move if he finds out, let alone crawl through windows."
While he spoke, Ryan crossed the room and was in the process of drying to climb James's nightstand. "I should probably take him downstairs," He suggested, trying to give his brain time to process the fact that Terry didn't mind talking to him. Wanted to, maybe. "I don't mind if you're a jerk. You can't be as bad as most of the people I know. You honestly don't seem that bad at all." -
"I think you'd rather me not tell you that," he mumbled, and then shrugged. The views on his videos fluctuated- his 'houseplant updates', which were a series of currently 56 videos, only have around a million views. Then there were videos like his moving day video, which were popular among his fans but not much anyone else, so they had the same number of views as his subscriber count. Finally, there were videos that were more interesting. He didn't use clockbait, but the one with James' artwork was titled, "I Found an Artist's Den In My New Room??", and that one had more like seven million views, far past his subscriber count. ".. He won't find out, don't worry about it," he said, feeling bad that James was so scared of his dad.
Terry glanced at Ryan, and nodded a bit when James said he should take him downstairs. "I don't?" He asked, sighing a bit. "Well, that's good then, because I'd rather you not mind talking to me. It would be cool to be friends with the person who crawls through my window, right?" -
"Well maybe she hasn't seen it," He offered weakly, knowing that there was a slim chance of it being true. "But it's really my fault. I shouldn't have just left that stuff there. The drawings of our pitcher, if anyone watched the video who goes to Maple Ridge, they'll recognize him and I'll be so screwed. But maybe they won't figure out that it's me. You don't, like, give your address out or anything right?"
James broke off in the middle of the conversation to run Ryan downstairs, dropping him off in the kitchen and disappearing before anyone could say anything to him. Sage had tried to call him back down, but he firmly shut his bedroom door behind him again.
"Being friends with the person who broke into your bedroom? Yeah, that sounds like a good plan," He grinned, nodding towards the window and then the bed. "Want to help me take this stuff over? I think they're just talking down there now." -
crap sorry for dipping I'm back now
"Yeah, maybe," he agreed, not wanting James too worried over it. But if anything did end up happening to him because of the videos, Terry knew he'd feel awful, because of course it would be his fault for posting a video all about someone else's things without permission. "No, no, if I gave my address out there would probably be a few million girls just like your sister coming up to my door every day... If you could get your sister to not mention where I live on tumblr or anything, I would really appreciate that."
Terry sat quietly while James hurried off with his brother, twiddling his thumbs thoughtfully. When he came back, he looked up, then glanced warily at the window. "I guess so.. I'm not the best with climbing, or heights, though."
