Crystal was drawing in her sketchbook. She had headphones on, not really caring about anything at the moment.
(So is this after the zombies or no~?) -
Diablo was sitting outside of the building keeping him and crystal safe
(Yes) -
Crystal got up and put the headphones carefully into her backpack. You couldn't find headphones like those these days. She had her sketch book in one hand while she explored the new temporary home. She and Diablo had already checked over it but you could never be sure.

"you think it's safe?" He asked crystal

"Sure," she called back, checking the last few doors. It was a nice small apartment but it was better this way, bigger places meant more possible zombies. "But is this world ever really safe anymore?" She asked, in a poetic mood.

"well no..." He responded

"Not safe anymore. Floor. Chore. Door. Hmm," Crystal said, zoning off. She wrote something in her book and closed it once again. She sat down next to Diablo. "I can take guard from here. Go enjoy the headphones," she said, tossing him the pack.

"k but I'd rather take a nap" he said before yawning and walking over to a pile of pillows

Crystal nodded. "Suit yourself," she said, putting them on herself. She turned to a slow sad song and had listened for a full five minutes before realizing she probably needed to listen and make sure zombies didn't shuffle along to them.

Diablo was sound asleep

Crystal was edgy with the silence. Every sound made her jump and she wasn't used to so much silence. Where were the zombies? Gone on vacation?

Diablo woke up when a high pitched scream came that way

Crystal perked up. She knew it was too good to be true. She glanced at Diablo, he was awake he could take care of himself, she thought before running towards the scream.
