Thread Topic: Roleplay?
-
Ok...Are you a mod?
-
No She is not a mod. I'm also not a mod but I don't think deleting this would be a good idea, it would give both of you very high postimes, I've had mine go up maybe thirty seconds from one post so I would suggest you do that.
-
Ok
-
fine. i forgive you. im still agitated tho.
-
But'll take your advice on the rp.
-
I am a mod, but as a person who's unfortunately been in several arguments, I recommend that you both keep it around here. It's always worth going back, learning what mistakes you've made, and then making sure not to act like that again.
-
Damn.
Ruined such a good plot. -
I don't believe the plot is ruined. The thread might be soiled with a small 2-3 page argument, but the plot can still be used- if it bothers anyone, I'm sure a new thread can be made.
Also, mainly at Dat_girl_, don't ever get mad if someone tries to offer you RP advice. Some people are very dedicated to it, and you have to remember, you don't always need to take the offer. Just politely say thank you for their advice/information- if you don't plan to use it, perhaps mention, "Thank you, but I'd like to continue doing what I'm doing" and leave it at that. Because, on the flip side, this is all your own creation. So maybe, in this world for this RP, Artemis DOES have children for the purpose of teaching them how to hunt. And then she doesn't in any other because other people want to go off of common lore. That's perfectly fine as well. -
I also have a way that I've used for Percy Jackson role plays ta get around the three virgin godesses.
Of Athena can create children with her mind whose to say Artemis can't do it with the Stars? Or moonlight? She is a godess and after all Hera created Hephaestus on her own even of he didn't turn out great. That could also work if you wanted to keep her a maiden. -
Ok
-
No, I'm talking about changing the mother to Athena, or something. I think changing the perspective a little will be nice. Like, seeing Artemis as a mother will be cool. She's the goddess of chastity, virginity, the hunt, the moon, and the natural environment, so if she did decide to have a child, I wanted to see how it would turn out.

^I beg to differ. I am sorry, but I side with Snowstorm on this one. Accuracy is key, especially with a plot handling greek mythology. You must at least be in your decency to get something right, I mean, something.
It's not in Artemis' nature to be a caregiver because again they don't have the desire to have children. That is how her character is founded in greek mythology.
Although, I do agree with surpassing expectations and doing the unpredictable, but not it if just defies facts. -
So yeah, no, I kind of object to Artemis having any children because it's just really stupid. A character can be outstanding on their own if there's enough effort, thought, and talent with development of said character that have already been built by history, storytelling, common knowledge, and other influences.
