jonas sat in the library nook, quite settled into the red striped cushions as his mind wandered in moby dick. he soon glazed his eyes on each word as he traced their view across each word. finally, he took a small break to admire the bright, heavy rain smashing against the window to winston library, admiring how each drop seemed to move in slow motion to the window, pause as if to build up strength and pressure, and finally administered it's full force against the thick glass. after watching it for awhile, he turned to trap his mind in the entrails of his book once more, breathing in the scent of dusty books and old paper as he drew a long sip of coffee from the warm thermos in his hand. -
[[ wait a sec
..where is this taking place im dying to death -
brightfire Newbielibrary i guess?????
i wasn't sure where to start i'm sorry ;;) -
[[it's fine
heather quietly slid into the small, local library.he hadn't came there very often before, but it was one of his favorite places to watch rain.not too loud, not too quiet.he strode over to a table up against a window, looking out into the vast, cloudy town he'd called home for so long.the beat against the windows as the rain pounded against them seemed so relaxing- he always stayed in the library during the rain, staring out until it had atleast lightened up to a drizzle,or none at all.this could take hours, heather knew, but always could occupy himself in the spare time. -
[[ kinds short bc im the example of never live up to your intentions

brightfire Newbieits fine vv))
jonas found his gaze swiveling around the library; something he liked to do. the librarian, other common people, towering stacks of paper and books in front of terrified, hurried high school students; all the same in his mind. but then he noticed heather. he decided to ignore him for now, but felt the growing urge to walk over. he fought it, in case the teen wanted to talk, something he was prohibited from. he simply pulled the book closer to his eyes, as if that would entice him in it's words more. -
heather took note of jonas then simply leaned on the window, drawing on what appeared to be a small pad of bluish paper with a pen.he appeared calm and quiet- occasionally throwing jonas a few sharp, green glances.he also noted that jonas seemed to be attempting to ignore heather, who played with his messy blonde locks in one hand and drew with the other.a realistic yet messy sketch of some kind of odd flower, one that did not exist came onto the paper.heather has a small fascination with flowers, and even made up his own species of flowers.most usually inspired by people,he drew a flower based off of jonas- quiet, shy, big reader.it appeared similar to that of a dandelion- except as if they were like apple blossoms, very casual and cool looking.
-
brightfire Newbiejonas didn't bother to return or catch his look; the first rule he had learnt was that usually was the 'cue' for someone to approach and attempt conversation. if he were hell as lucky, someone would understand and be able to return his message. usually people dismissed him as a book obsessed brat, which he was fine with. eventually curiosity caught hold of his imagination and he walked over silently, a dour, simple expression on his face as he looked at heather. he noticed the flower and tilted his head slightly.

heather blinked up at jonas, giving him a small smile whilst sliding towards him the quick, sketchy doodle.he didn't speak, though he wanted too.he simply smiled in attempts to brighten jonas's gloomy, stern expression, tapping is fingers over the small table and leaning forward.he cleared his throat and shrugged.

Jonas kept the same attitude but looked at the picture, smiling slightly. He scribbled a note asking what species it was as he casually checked his fingernails. He always did this waiting for a response.
(I'm sorry I'm on my tablet) -

heather shrugged.tilting his head,he made the assumption that jonas was deaf.this didnt happen to be a widespead disability in his area, but he knew it wasnt very rare, either.he wrote down in reply, 'none.will be when i learn your name, bookworm.' he dropped his pencil and retracted his hands, looking up at jonas with a bright yet sharp stare.a giggle escaped his mouth as he waited for jonas's response- heather simply took the older male as a know-it-all by his looks and his actions, not realizing that looks arent everything.that was something he had a hart time getting down- looks arent everything, and never will be.he was never racist, but had always spoke badly of casual looking people,or those that seem to try and show off.jonas's thing with checking his fingernails while waiting for a reply caused heather to look at him like he was a brat. -
Pearbugdoodles NewbieJonas finished picking at a few leaves that somehow got stuck in it and laughed slightly. That was the only sound he could make as he scribbled "Jonas" before smiling heartily and looking at the flower. He seemed to read Heather's assumption as he showed him a sign for hello.
-
heather tilted his head, then struggled to mimic jonas's sign.he kind of shook, but was able to copy jonas.he stared for a moment then looked down at the paper, writing JONASkind above the flower drawing.he listed traits.
'-kind of like a showoff
-butterfly magnet
-very pretty/dazzling
-hard to grow'
he smirked at jonas, shading in some areas of the flower. -
Pearbugdoodles NewbieJonas looked at the description and smirked before he snorted. The librarian shushed him and he waved it off. He'd rather try a conversation he he grabbed a few books of his hobbies, opened them, and tilted his head as if to ask if he liked it.
