The next morning, Walter returned to work on Kimi's property. He had been taking care of this property since the last people moved out. He waved to Kimi as he got out his tools and fixed his lawn mower. "Good morning!" He cheered.

Kimi blinked and nearly spit out her coffee. "Walter...? What on Earth are you doing here?" She questioned, gulping back her spit take and rubbing her neck, suddenly a bit insecure of her bed head and pink pajamas.

"I come here everyday to take care of the property." He answered, rubbing mud off his hands with a towel after cleaning the lawn mower. "I hope that's not a problem." He added, realizing now that there were people living here they may not want him on their property.

Kimi rubbed her neck, "I mean, I dont see why that'd be a problem, you just... scared me a bit. I didn't expect to find anyone in the back yard."

"Oh, okay." He smiled. "I'll be working in and around the garden today, so I shouldn't be in your way." He cheered, picking up the stuff he'd need.

Kimi nodded and ran a hand through her hair, sitting on the steps and sipping her coffee. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"No, not really. I'm good! You can come watch if you want though." He offered.

The sun was very bright as Walter got to work. He set up a tent over the area he was going to work to shield him from the sun. First, he wedded out the soil. Then he turned it over repeatedly. Next, he put seeds in and covered them with fertilizer. Finally, he watered the garden. After that he carefully took out squares in the yard around the garden and placed worms that squirmed into the ground, heading to the garden. Finally he placed the cubes of dirt back in and stomped them in place with his foot.

Kimi watched, intrigued at his hard work on a property that wasn't even his. She tilted her head, wanting to help, but unsure how.

"Okay! I'm done now!" He cheered, putting his stuff away. He took down the tent and folded it into his bag. "Want to join me for lunch?" He asked, checking the time.

Kimi looked at her pink pajamas. "Erm... one moment, let me go put something on...." She rushed inside to put on her usual sweater and white shorts before running back down.

Walter pulled out a blanket and a lunch box. "I normally bring a spare sandwich and fruit in case some animals are hungry." He told her, giving her a sandwich and a container of strawberries.

Kimi smiled and took it wth a quiet "Thank you". She sat gracefully and nibbled on the sandwich, grinning.

"You're welcome! Do you want me to give you a tour of this property later? I know it like the back of my hand!" He offered.
