brightfire Newbiejamie nodded- he understood how dna from humans was NEVER the same, even in families. so he understood pretty well. "uh-huh. i was just asking what your world is like-" he slammed into another door. "OW!" he rubbed his nose, which was now bleeding slightly, and muttered something.

"Hello! Sorry, should have watched where I was going..." The steel door apologized. She turned into a metal ballerina and curtsied. "Oh no! Steela! How many times do I need to tell you not to turn into a door on the path!" Woodson sighed. "I'm sorry Woodson. I'll be more careful..." She sighed. "This is Steela, my little sister." Woodson introduced.

brightfire Newbie"hi!" jamie mused, forgetting about his bloody nose. "so.. were one of your parents wood and the other steel?" he questioned. he didn't feel it was rude- he only asked because they were different materials. "so.. another question after that." he began. "why do you turn into doors?"

"Well, my mother Emma was made of Emerald, and my father Brian was made of brick." Steela answered. "And we turn into doors... Well, I don't really know why. Why do you have hair?" She asked rhetorically to prove her point.

brightfire Newbie"because in our world we're mammals and- you have cats here?" he pointed to a silver kitten, then shrieked when he saw it's tail was a purple tentacle. it purred and walked over anyways and he picked it up, staring at it. he turned it around, "is this thing safe?" as if to prove it, the kitten mewed at woodsman.

"Yes, we understand that you're mammals. We are Doorsmen. So we turn into doors." She told him. "And that's our pet Milla! She's harmless, as long as you don't steal her cat toys or blow in her face." Steela added.

brightfire Newbiejamie let out a squeal that startled milla, as she fell out of his hands. he caught her and looked at her again. "this. thing. is. SO PRECIOUS!" milla meowed again.

Kelly jumped and laughed. "Okay then..." Steela laughed. "Where are you headed?" She asked Woodson. "I'm taking them to find a way back home." Woodson answered. "They can't take the short way?" Asked Steela. "Not unless they can fly!" He sighed. "Not everyone can just attach to steel and climb up!" He added. "Okay... But remember to go around the forest!" Steela reminded. "I'll take your station. But you better get back soon!" She added. "Okay! Okay!" Woodson laughed.

brightfire Newbiejamie hid milla in his bag- he would give her back when they were going to go home, but for now she seemed useful. the kittens paw flapped out as she tried to lift the satchel top; he did and she purred contently at watching everything.

"Hey! Give me my cat!" Steela yelled, chasing them. "Run!" Woodson laughed, running down the path. Kelly laughed and ran with him.

brightfire Newbiejamie darted faster and felt himself lift off the ground, soft claws digging into his shirt- and was shocked when he landed on a tree branch. he turned and saw milla unhooking herself from his shirt collar, her tail latched onto a branch as she winked and drew up woodson and kelly too.

brightfire Newbiemilla coughed. "AHEM. steela is over-possessive of me. so i saved you guys." jamie snapped. "i KNEW she could talk!" milla purred at this and turned to woodson. "hiya, woody! long time since the enchantment wore off, huh?" she was referring to the one that prohibited her speaking.
