Sure)
Lezah gazed at the distant hills from her bedroom window. It had been a long time since she had flew over them in the airplane, and as she remembered the nervous journey she remembered her old friends. Again, she wondered why she had to immigrate from China. She missed everything and everyone.
'Lezah!' She heard her mother calling her. Giving a resigned sigh, she pulled her gaze away from the window. -
Jonathan stood by the grave of his sister, staring down at it as rain pattered around him. He held baby's breath in his left hand, slowly kneeling down to the grave stone and placing them on top of the grass, staring blankly
-
Her mother was sat on a chair in the kitchen as Lezah approached. 'You should go.out to play,' her mother advised. 'Staying here is not healthy.'
Lezah knew it was pointless to argue. Her mother would just make her do the laundry. She shrugged and walked to the door, turning the knob easily..She went outside. It began to rain. -
Jonathan sighed and began to trudge home, his feet heavy and dragging as he walked. He stared at the ground whilst feeling only self pity and guilt. He could have stopped her... He should have stopped her.... He knew why she did it, so why didn't he stop it? Because he was weak. He was worthless. He deserved to die. He began crossing the busy road, so involved in his own little world of hollow thought and guilt, he didn't seen the semi barreling toward him.
-
Lezah considered bringing an umbrella. Then she shrugged and kept walking. She was laready wet anyway, it was pointless to get an umbrella. As she walked, she drifted into daysreams of the pasttimes. She suddenly felt lonely, alone in the dreary world. She was used to warm friends, and suddenly she was alone. She shivered, not from the cold.
-
Jonathan glanced up and froze in the middle of the road. He blinked wildly, the headlights growing brighter and brighter before he just closed his eyes. He could rejoin her. Apologize. Tell her he missed her... He fell back as the truck hit him, though not as hard as he would have liked. He simply fell back and groaned.
-
Lezah hugged herself tightly as though trying to comfort hherself. And then she sang, her voice stronger than she expected. She sang and listened.
-
Jonathan blinked as he heard singing and closed his eyes, as if to relax himself to death. Perhaps the hit was strong enough, and he was hearing an angel... That must be it.
-
She paused for a moment as memories flickered through her mind like fishes. Then she sang another song, the one her teacher in China loved to sing, the calm, peaceful song about the moon. She heard her own voice ring confidently in the dreary rain, and suddenly she felt better. She relaxed into a soft humming.
-
Jonathan open his eyes, expecting to see heaven... instead he seen the concerned face of an old man staring back. He jumped and made a face before carefully crawling out from under the old man and sighing. He stood with a grunt and began walking, though he wanted to know the owner of the voice he'd heard, as it was quite beautiful.
-
Lezah continued to walk aimlessly as she softly hummed her favourite tune. She wrapped her arms tighter around herself, reminding her that however lonely she felt, her own self would always be there. Suddenly filled with new hope, she sang a bright melody
