"You're welcome girls!" Mama cheered. "I'm sorry that they only had one pair of black dress shoes so I had to get you purple." Mama added. They got into the car, and as usual Mom drived.

They drove down the New York streets until they parked at a nearby diner. When they got in, Chara saw a woman, a man, a little boy, and... Peter at the table they were walking towards. The table was set for ten.

"what the flip??????!!!!!!!''chara thought

Peter saw Chara and he was clearly shocked as well. "what the flip??????!!!!!!!'' Peter thought.

Chara looked as if she was going to throw up.

"Hey mom... Uh... What did you say the name of your friend was again?" Peter whispered to his mom. "You can call her Mrs. Lawson." His mother answered. "That's what I thought." Peter sighed. Peter got up, wanting to use the bathroom. But he sat right back down as everyone sat at the table.

Chara sighed.

Peter quickly took a piece of paper out from under his placemat and put it in his pocket. "So you two are Chara and Stacy correct? Your grandmother told me a lot about you!" Peter's mom Cheered.

"Yes. I'm Stacy. Nice to meet you." Stacy smiled. She gave Chara a look of concern and equal shock.

"Y-es''chara stammered ''um may I be excused?'' she looked at Peter.

"You may. You should all wash up before dinner." Mama told them. Peter's parents told the same to him and his little brother.

Chara walked away from the table and took peter by the arm.

Peter stared at Chara as her arm held his. Stacy and Peter's little brother followed.

She looked at her hand and then let go . "you-knows my-'' she stammered then sighed
