Ava began placing her things into her bag as the teacher spoke while students began leaving. "Don't forget your project is due next week. As long as you properly present your project you'll get an easy A!" The teacher proclaimed once more before going silent. Ava had left the room had to the courtyard. She didn't like eating the school's lunch. So she would strave herself until she returns home for dinner. Sighing, Ava took a seat on one of the benches located outside. Resting her back on a nearby wall she wanted students walk their way to the cafeteria. Usually teachers wouldn't care what we do during this time just have to be back to class afterwards.

Archaios grabbed his bag and put his notebook away before he started walking to the cafeteria. He noticed some glares and he frowned slightly before he looked up as he was passing the notice board and froze when he saw the simple riddle. He paled after solving it in his head and then someone threw a book at him "why don't you show us what you really look like, monster!" The man who threw the book said. Archaios paled more "I'm not a monster!

A few students began rushing over at the board where the riddles revealing a secret would be placed. Ava knew something wasn't right. She stood up and began walking towards the board. She heard the voices as Ava pushed through the gathering crowd. She saw who is was and frowned. I want to help but, I can't. My voice. Everyone wouldn't even bother wanting to be around me. Ava thought as she slowly stepped back from the crowd. She was still near the argument but hid in shame from not being able to help him.

"then what are you, a demon?" The man snarled, making Archaios flinch "no." He said, his voice soft. The man growled"then show use what you really are, freak!" He said as some other people started walking forward. Archaios shook his head and they smirked"then we'll just half to beat it out of you" one said and then Archaios cried out as he was punched to the ground

Ava heard what the students were saying and couldn't hold back anymore. She practically pushed her way through the crowd and stood in front of him, the one who concerned for her. "S-stop!" Ava spoke her voice shaky and out of place. Damn it all. Ava thought as a few teachers gather around. Separating everyone Ava bit her bottom lip as people began to leave the area. She felt like s---, she didn't want people to know what she actually sound like, on top of it she acted like she was tough when she was weak. Sighing, Angela looked over at Archaios. Using her hands, she said Are you okay? Sorry I didn't do anything sooner. I just couldn't watch everything happen right before my eyes.. Ava felt overwhelmed and sent her mom her text she was planning to send earlier.

Archaios got up shakily and he looked at Ava "I'm fine" he said softly looked down at the ground as he wiped some blood away from his mouth

You don't look fine, come on I'll take you to the nurse's office. Ava said using her hands. She then helped him walk to the nurse's office which was located in the main building, bit far for Archaios to walk alone but with her help, they could manage.

Archaios blushed slightly but let her help him, ignoring the looks people where giving them as the walked past

They eventually reached the nurse's office and Ava helped Archaios settle down on a bed. "S-sorry th-that happened. I-I wish I did something s-sooner." Ava stuttered, apologizing once more. She truly felt terrible about it and she didn't do much to be in any good use.

He smiled gently st her "it's alright, I've been worse" he said to her before he looked around"although I think this is my first time in here" he said after a moment

"R-really?" Ava said her phone small and genlte. She did her best to keep her voice low but, her mind trailed off. His secret was revealed but, what was his secret? It had to be something terrible. Ava thought as she gently rubbed her hands.

He nodded and grimaced"my dad threw me out of the second floor window when he was drunk once" he said. He looked down at his hands and sighed softly

"H-how h-harsh." Ava said a bit shock. She still stuttered hating her voice terribly. She sighed lightly and then began using her hands to speak. Sorry for my stuttering and how my voice sounds. Ava's hand moved slowly but, then she looked down at her lap embarrassed. Using the ends of her sleeves she covered her face. Embarrassing.. Ava thought as she sighed. I hate my voice so much. Ava thought lastly before her phone began ringing lightly. She took out her phone from her bag looking at the text her mom sent and sighed. She rolled her eyes and placed in back into her bag.

Archaios shrugged"it's not that bad. I'm just glad he is such a bad shot with a gun" he he looked up at her and watched her hands before he smiled"it's alright, your voice sounds fine to me" he jumped when her phone rang and he tilted his head

Ava quickly used her hands feeling embarrassed for the moment and rather shocked as well. Are you sure? My voice just sounds so..strange? It doesn't fit me personally and it's annoying. Sorry about that was well. I sent a text to my mom about something. Ava's hand were shaking but moved to form the words she needed to make sentences. As she placed her hands back down she heard a voice. "Archaios, I'll be with you in just a moment!" It was the nurse whom was currently occupied with something.
