let's make the motherf---ers then -
Name: Charlotte Courtlandt [Lottie]
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Appearance: , she has a ton of freckles and bright green eyes. She's maybe 5ft tall, so she's really short.
Other: Lottie died during a storm quite a while back in that forest. The storm caused the water to rise, and while trying to navigate her way back home without drowning, lightning stuck a tree in front of her path. She avoided the tree, but slipped on the bank and drowned. That same tree is the log that makes the bridge now. Of course, she has no idea about any of that.
Lottie likes the quiet, and reading. She's the kind of person who'd probably be forgotten. -
Name: Gloria Holo
Age: 22
Gender: female
Species: human
Background: Gloria lives in a small apartment on the fringes of a busy town. She's a quiet person, not for any real dislike for people, but because she tends to prefer quiet reflection to socialization. I'm not going to write anymore because she is d i s p o s a b l e.
Not it. -
Waking up to the sound of water and chirping bird wasn't what Lottie had expected. Sure, she had fallen asleep in the forest before..but this felt weird.
She set up, stretching upwards, glancing around, trying to take in her surroundings. Her mind was fuzzy, like her head was full of cotton. She yawned loudly, standing and rubbing her eyes.
She was glad she'd woken up in the forest, though. It was so peaceful here, and quiet. She looked around for her bag, hoping to find her books, but strangely it didn't appear to be anywhere nearby.
She was too far into the forest for it to of been stolen, so maybe some animal..?
She shook her head, there were more important things to think of right now. -
(haha I forgot to add an appearance for Gloria
oh well guess it's not that important)
The sun was barely creeping into the sky. It was early morning, and Gloria was on the first of her usual two daily treks through the only forest for miles around where she lived. The river babbled quietly in the background, a reassuring constant no matter how far she wandered. Sticking to a path had always bored her, so keeping the rushing water within earshot served as her only indicator that she was in familiar territory. So long as she could still hear it, she felt safe wandering as far as she wanted. Today, she had taken an unusually hilly path, making it feel more like a hike than a simple walk. Her mind was beginning to clear up, but she was still feeling a little hazy, having only woken up a half hour prior. The air on her skin was nippy, but not enough so for her to consider weighing herself down with a coat. In fact, she preferred it this way. Being a little cold was better than being sweaty. She was especially grateful for that as she took the last strained step up a rocky hill and found herself standing on the peak, overlooking a large portion of the woods.
"Oh, wow." she mumbled, looking around. It was beautiful, the river wrapping around half of the base of the hill she stood atop. She took it in in silence for a little bit, wondering how she had never gotten here before, when she noticed the figure of another person standing around at the edge of the river a little ways off. The girl looked a little disoriented from here, but that might be a mistake. Better safe than sorry, though.
"Hey!" she called, raising an arm and waving it at the girl as she started down the hill again. -
Startled, Lottie stumbled for a second, turning to try and figure out where the voice came from.
She eventually saw the waving girl, and tilted her head, waving meekly back.
She debated on just slipping into the cover of the forest and getting even more lost, but she figured that wouldn't solve any of her problems. But she wasn't sure if she wanted to talk to the woman either.
She sighed, then glanced around, feel a sudden tug at her very core. The bridge..?
She blinked, cupping her hands over her mouth and calling out.
"Do you know where the log bridge is?" -
"The log bridge?" Gloria called back, lowering her voice accordingly as she closed the distance between the two. "Yeah, easy! I can bring you th-"
She stumbled and fell the rest of the way down the hill, skidding to a stop at the foot. She stood up shakily, thanking every god humanity had ever imagined that she hadn't landed on her head and had already made it safely down the majority by the time she tripped. She righted herself quickly and finally made it to the girl, panting as she tried to collect herself to finish.
"Sorry, yeah, I know where it is. Are you okay?"
