Destiny is based a couple hundred years into the future when Earth has pretty much been eradicated of humanity. However, Guardians are chosen and woken up by their ghosts to do fight against the enemies of the Vanguard.
Basically C1 and C2 both wake up outside the Cosmodrome by there single ghost, however there is a group of fallen who are hunting the ghost down. C1 and C2 run into the cosmodrome to hide form the fallen. The fallen follow them inside and they have to fight them off using old weapons. After the Fallen are defeated both C1 and C2 decide to work together and fly off to the Tower in an old mining ship. After that they basically just recieve various tasks and missions from the vanguard and fly off to complete them.
There are Three species:
Human
Awoken
Exo (robot)
Enemies:
Fallen
Cabal
Hive
Vex
Three classes:
Titan
Hunter
Warlock
Weapons include:
Auto-Rifles
Scout Rifles
Hand Cannons
Rocket Launchers
Shotguns
Snipers
Heavy Machine guns
And Fusion Rifles
A character can have three weapons, a primary, special, and a heavy.

One question, what is an awakened? And what's a warlock?

A warlock can in a way use magic powers that force enemies off of cliffs
The awakened is basically just a bluish, gray player with yellow eyes -
They also use guns though
