Akane flipped her long brown hair. She looked the new girl straight in the eye. She could almost see into that girl's soul... She got so distracted that she dropped her makeup bag. Blush went all over the floor, turning the white linoleum red!

Snow looked up shyly as the white tiles became red. She smiled shyly and kneeled down to help. -
"Thank you!" Akane said. "You must be new. Where did you come from?" She spoke the words softly, moving her glossy lips and gritting her crooked teeth. She did not have a friend at this school yet, and was excited to make one. Eyelashes fluttered, and hair was twirled as she waited for an answer...

"Um... Tokio.." Snow smiled shyly agian, thinking of her old friend. She whisked her white hair behind her.

The corners of Akane's mouth immediately turned up! "Meet you at lunch. Bye-bye!" she said in a cute manner.

"Uh... bye," Snow got up as she finished cleaning and waved good-bye. She pushed the corners of her skirt down and sighed.

Once the bell rang and it was time for lunch, Akane ran down the stairs to the cafeteria. "Slow down!" Ms. Watanabe said. Akane sat right down at an empty table, and saved a seat for Snow.

SNow looked around and saw Akane and sat with her, pulled out her cookie, and started eating it.

Akane had gotten school lunch. Today's special was angel food cake, and she offered Snow a piece.

Snow gladly took it and offered Akane her other cookie. "I made it. Chocolatechip cookie."

"You made it?" Akane said. She licked her lips in delight. The second she placed the cookie in her mouth, she was elated. "Yum!" she shouted for the whole cafeteria to hear.

Snow's eyed widened. "You like them? My brother said they were bad. I'm glad you like them." She smiled.

"Why would he say that?" Akane asked.
