  Shadow brought him through the hole in the bushes, into an alleyway. "Here" she said, handing him a blue scarf. "Put it around your mouth. No one will recognize you. Ready?" She felt the wheels turning in her head. This was crazy!

  He put the scarf on. "Ready." he said to Shadow.

  She held his hand and walked him into the street, her own purple scarf around her mouth. "This," she said, "Is the city of Jewel." The streets were bustling, and no one seemed to notice them.

  "OK" she said. She was out of money anyway, and her stomach was turning into a monster! She lead him to her favorite restaurant, The Ruby. It was well established, and had the best food ever. when they walked in, Shadow was greeted with a warm hug. "Shades!" squealed a young woman with ash-blonde hair and ice-blue eyes. "Pearl! I brought a friend, if you don't mind." she pointed at the prince. "Well, what are you waiting for? Come on in!" Shadow was glad Pearl didn't question her friend.

  "Go ahead and order" he said "Make it big because I see you are hungry." he laughed "So is Pearl the owner. Its seems established."

  "Yeah. Me and her- we have some ties. Are you sure you don't want anything? This is the best place in town!" she looked at her menu. "Hm... I'll probably get the Diamond Special..." she murmured.

  "Right." She turned her attention to the kitchen doors. "Matt! The regular!" she sat back in her chair. "Hey, how come you just asked me to sit with you? Most people would be hella scared!"
