Quailflame briskly groomed his long,matted fur in the company of Snakenose.Snakenose happened to be Quailflame's best friend,and Quaiflame regretfully had laid many promises he knew he would need to break to his friend.The long haired cat continued grooming himself,his fur bothering him.His fur grew long,for it was leaf-bare;a time where greencough and whitecough spread like wild fire,and the most poor season for hunting.
Snakenose was the newest warrior,so he still acted quite like an apprentice.He bounced and bowled,always playing with the kits and the apprentices you has been his denmates.Quailflame,the current Shadowclan deputy,had been hia mentor,and over many moons had given so many promises to Snakenose,and had became best friends.A mission accomplished,he thought,stopping to watch his previous mentor.Truely. -

Last post) Shellstar watched Tawneypetal and sighed.
Tawneypetal tought: "I hope a tom will pick me soon.' -
Quailflame took a look at Tawneypetal,rising up and walking over to her."Hey there." He mewed,brushing his long fur across her short."Aren't you so cold with such short fur?" I ask,grooming it for her.
Snakenose played with a beetle,scurrying over to catch it,and ate it.Then the sudden consumption of the beetle made him know how hungry he was.He padded up to Shellstar."Shellstar,can I go hunting?" he pleaded in a kit like mew. -
Tawneypetal blushed. "W-well..." She mewed.
Shellstar growled. He turned away and stalked into his den.

Quailflame continued to groom her rough fur,smoothing it."Well?"He meowed,muffled.He shot a glare at Shellstar as he watched te leader storm away.He purred as he looked back on Tawneypetal.
Snakenose jumped in excitement,sprinting out through the gorse tunnel at his top speeds.It would be a challenge catching prey for most warriors,but Snakenose was a natural when it came to hunting,especially during leaf-bare. -
Tawneypetal's ears flattened. "I never knew how rough my pelt was," she meowed as she started to lick his back fur.
"Quailflame...Quailflame..." Shellstar growled under his breath. -
'Do I think he likes me?' Tawneypetal thought as she groomed his fur. "M-Maybe why my fur's so rough is because is fell into a thorn bush while I was out hunting with Shellstar," she meowed. "I guess I had so many thorns in my pelt it made it so...rough."

Shellstar huffed and licked his paw. "I have eight lives left, and i will fight for her if I have to."

Quailflame continued to groom the she-cat's rough fur,coming across thorns and slowly pulling them out with his unusually long front teeth.Being a child of Bramblestar made him related to Tigerstar,so he was huge and buff,truely the exact same as his grandfather.He was deputy,but couldn't wait for Shellstar to loose all his lives.
