"The ginger-and brown she-cat, Archkit. The black tom, Shadekit. The brown she-cat, Sagekit...and the ginger tom, Firekit.." Berryheart fell asleep, tried of giving birth.

Berryheart woke a few minutes later, seeing her kits sucking her milk. "Uh, Saffra? Do you like my kits?" The Queen asked, curling her tail around them.

Saffra watched as Berryheart drifted off to sleep. She was now left alone with little crying kits.Saffra did the only thing she knew to do: sing. She hadn't sang since her father died who she always sang with. He died even before the wolves because of a sickness.
She opened her mouth and sang.
"The valleys, the oceans, the sky up above. I would not trade you for them you have all my love. The beautiful meadows the wonderful rain. Without you there is only pain." -
Archkit opened her eyes. She repeated the song, and looked up at Saffra with her mother's green eyes.

Berryheart fell back to sleep. Archkit stood and bounced to Saffra.

Saffra watched as the kits went sleep. She then turned to Berryheart. "Are you feeling better?"

Archkit sat and looked at Saffra. "Song?" She asked.

"Oh. Its the song my mother taught to me. She was a snow leopard. She also taught me it in her native language. Qoiquiadesh." Saffra explained.

(It's fine) "Momma," Archkit meowed. She nuzzled up next to Saffra. "Momma song."
