The cat yawned watching the Hinata girl dart off. Should he follow? Nah. He decided to just sit there, waiting for what would happen next. He meowed lightly, glancing at the fuming Najika. Did she like cats? He wondered. Silence fell, and made the cat shiver. What to do now...

Najika sighed and picked up the chubby cat. "Come on. It's gonna rain soon." She held him gently and shut the door with her hip before walking to the kitchen. "Lets see what I can find you to eat... Though I think you could stand to skip a few meals there, chubby." She smiled and pet him. "But you're a cutie either way." She grabbed some ham and shredded it in a bowl before putting the cat on the ground and grabbing another bowl and filling it with water.

The cat meowed as he was picked up. As she led him to the kitchen and got him something to eat, he looked around taking in his now new home. He glanced up at her as she set down the bowl of shredded ham. I can't help being chubby... He mumbled mentally before pulling out a piece of ham and chewing on it. His eyes glanced at the bowl of water that was placed down by the ham dish. He could tell this was going to be a wonderful home.

Najika gently stroked the cat's fur before grabbing her antidepressants and taking her second dosage. She walked back to the worn out leather sofa and plopped down, looking at jobs online. She couldn't help but smile as she posted on Facebook about her new cat. She yawned and shut the laptop, deciding to take a nap as she hadn't slept well the night before due to studying for a major test.

Completing his meal, feeling rather stuffed... the fluffy cat pranced over to the water bowl and lapped up some refreshing h2o. The cool water making him purr wildly. Nice... cold... water... He closed his eyes, feeling at peace. Though... he wondered about those pills the girl took. Is she okay?

Najika dozed off but was launched into a night terror. She was tying a noose and pushed Hinata's head inside it. Hinata was standing on a stool and their parents' bodies were handing on either side of them from identical nooses. Without warning, Najika pushed Hinata from the stool and watched her struggle before going limp. Najika then climbed a stool and put her own head through a noose. Before she could jump off, she jolted up, breathing heavily and sweating.

Glancing over at his new owner, he meowed curiously. He was confused on why she jolted up so suddenly. To be honest, this action made him jump for he was not expecting it. Meowing once more he ran over to her, as fast as his chubby kitty body could carry him. With a jump, he pounced onto her and stared at her. A worried glint upon his yellow eyes.

Najika jumped and forced a smile. "Sorry if I startled you, boy. It was just a nightmare." She seemed to be trying to reassure herself more than the cat, so she gently pet him. "Now that I think about it... I never seen your name... How silly of me. I can't just keep calling you boy, now can I? That's rude." She looked at his collar. -
The chubby cat purred as her hands stroked his silky fur. His eyes darting towards the hand that was checking his collar. The words Kiko as the name. He nudged her arm, telling her everything is alright. He could tell she had a nightmare and he forgave her for startling him.

"Kiko, huh? How cute." Najika whispered, lying back with the cat on her chest as she pet him. "It's nice to have a friend... I think I'll keep you, Kiko." She smiled and kissed the cat's head. She kept stroking him gently, her touch light and loving. She had always been the type to give the shirt off her back to anyone who needed it, and she loved animals, so why not.

Kiko continued to purr as his new owner stroked him lightly, the feeling making him happy as his tail swished side by side. He knew he'd be happy here and he also needed a friend. He's been abandoned after people found out what he really was. He was always pampered and well fed, which is the cause for his chubby body.
Meowing in a kitten like form, he lies his head down and closes his eyes, his yellow eyes being blocked for who knows how long. What to dream about... He wondered, yawning and rolling over on to his back. Whiskers twitching of sensation. -

Najika blinked and smiled. "Too bad you aren't human... We might be good friends... No, nevermind. If you could understand me, you'd think I'm a freak." She laughed sadly as she kissed his head before lying her head back and closing her eyes, knowing she'd have a big day. Usually Saturdays are for sleeping in... -
Kiko smirked in a cat like way understanding perfectly. He knew she'd be in for a huge surprise in the morning. He yawned and slowly began to drift off to sleep. How is she going to react...? He wondered, purring as he dozes off into dreamland. Meowing every so often and nuzzling against Najika to make sure she was there.

Najika slowly dozed off, hugging the cat gently. She managed to get through the night without any surprise night terrors, and actually had a nice dream. It was her and a boy... She knew the boy somehow, though he was a complete stranger... And even more confusing, she had feelings for the strange boy... But the strangest thing was that he had cat ears and a tail... Najika began to wake as sunlight streamed across her face.
