Thread Topic: I haven't seen you in forever

C1 is a person who grew up with their best friend until they were 12 and their best friend was sent to mages school to learn the ancient practice of spell casting.
C2 is C1's friend that got sent to the school for 15 years.
C2 comes back from the school at age 27 (which is far away so they don't receive any news about what's happening in the kingdom) to find out that C1 is now a well-known warrior that has saved the kingdom many times before. C2 stays at C1's house (it is very big and sort of like a mini-castle) and they discover there is something dangerous lurking out in the many miles of forest outside the kingdom waiting to pounce.
It is up to C1's strength and C2's magic to save the kingdom. Will they make it out alive?

We begin when Shadow gets back to the kingdom from the school in a carriage.
I will start
Summer heard the horses padding along. She got up out of bed and looked out her window to see the long line of carriages entering the gates.Summer smiled and said "this is the day Shadow's coming back!" before she quickly put on her armor and rushed outside and down the road to where the carriages were unloading. -
Shadow looked around as he climbed out of the carriage, wincing slightly at the bright sunlight. He grabbed his staff and hopped out, landing on the ground with a thump
