Silver held out his hand for skotadi to land on before heading to the common room. He smiled at rosie -
Rosie smiled back, and gave a faltering wave before quickly hiding her hand, remembering Lily's warning from the night before. Rosie started slowly merging through the passing Gryffindors towards Silver.

Silver winced as skotadi clawed in his ear and he moved away from the crowd

Rosie frowned and dashed after him. Perkins looked about ready to kill someone. "Shh... it's okay, kitty..." she tried to comfort him as she made it to Silver's side.

Silver tilted his head at the cat as skotadi clicked its beak at her

Perkins hissed menacingly and disappeared into Rosie's robes. Rosie blushed slightly, then said "Perkins is the first cat that I've ever known to be afraid of birds..."

Silver chuckled soft" that's kinda funny. But it's not as bad as skotadi being afraid of stuffed animals"

Rosie's attempt to conceal her laughter only made it more obvious that she was laughing. Soon tears were running down both of their faces and passerbys were giving them a wide berth.

Skotadi snapped at silver's ear to get him to stop laughing, his feathers ruffled

Rosie giggled and tried to conceal this new wave of laughter. "he- he-" she tried to explain. "he looks so..." she giggled again. "he looks so indignant! Like 'what did you do to silver?'" Rosie burst out laughing again.

Skotadi huffed and looked away from her. Silver? Giggled at the bird as he wiped his face" we should go get breakfast

"Yeah..." Rosie smiled, reaching for her wand. She had dropped it while they were laughing. The last few Gryffindor were trickling out. "Nuckle Buck." Rosie muttered as they followed them. She snorted again.

Silver chuckled softly as he followed her

Breakfast was delicious. Eggs, pancakes, bacon, toast, fruit dishes, French toast, waffles, sausages, and every juice Rosie could have imagined were laid out neatly on the tables. Her eyes widened and she looked over at Silver.

Silver smiled slightly and he sat down
