Jeremiah watched the slave with interest, his eyes soaking in the small, lithe body stuck in the cage. There was little movement other than the cat-like boy pulling his hat down onto his head. "What a cute little one. And so rare, being part cat.. I rather like him." -

Cody's yellow,thin eyes gazed upon Jeremiah with great intrest.He lowered his grey ears,and sat up,his grey,long haired tail-tip flicking.His eyes were very narrow,and he sat prim and proper,staring amongst the older angel.He had seen Jeremiah before,when poor Cody had been sold.His eyes took a long,slow blink at the angel,raising his ear's to catch the stranger's words. -

"How much did we agree on, Lu?" Jeremiah said the man's code name, his cool eyes not showing much emotion beyond the dulled excitement. "Ten thousand, Jeremiah.. We can settle for less--" "No, it's fine," the angel muttered as he handed a handful of money to 'Lu'. The man's eyes widened with pleasure as he handed the key to Cody's cage to him.

The slender boy stared long and hard at the angel.Cody hesitated to get up,but shoved his hands with flexing claws into his windbreaker's pockets,and stood up.He tried to hide his face,not doing very well.He flicked his ear with disapproval and annoyance,then approched the small cage door.

Jeremiah walked over to the cage, bending down to be at its height. The half-human boy was staring back at him, though it looked slightly upset. A smile crossed his face as he put the key in and unlocked the cage. "Come here, boy. I want a good look at you."

Cody hid his face with his matted hair before exitting the cage.He trembled,and gulped as he stared at the angel through his own thick hair.He had not gained the confindence after leaving the cage to show his face,yet he was still adjusting. -
