The teacher opened his book and looked through it to see what page they were left at. "Please turn to page 381." the teacher said. -
Shade opened his book to the page the teacher told them to turn to.

He read the instructions. "Okay, You will be working in groups of fours." the teacher said. "You can pick.". Everyone got up and picked their group. Avery sat by herself and waited.

Shade got up and walked over to the new girl and sat beside her.he then smiled a bit.

She smiled and looked at her paper. "Wow." She thought. "Yo bro, What are you doing over there?" A few other boys asked the boy sitting next to her.

"What's it to ya" Shade said coldly as he narrowed his eyes.

"You wanna be partners with a girl then with you bros!" they said as they looked at Avery. "It's fine if you wanna go with your friends." Avery said.

Shade muttered something British before getting up."sorry and by the way my name is Shade" he said before walking over to his bros.

"It's fine. My name is Avery." she said. She worked by herself. "Why did you wanna work with her? She's weird." Avery heard the boys talking about her.

Shade sighed"why do you care"

"Because dude, just look at her. She a loner and nothing like babes here." one of them said. Avery looked down as she heard them say that.

"And so what if she's a loner and not like the girls here,she's probably smarter then any of you!" Shade said throwing a fist on the desk as it shook.he then walked back over to Avery.

Avery got scared of the shaking desk. She looked at Shade as he walked over to her. "Are you okay?" Avery asked him.
