He watched as Alice ran off and directed his attention towards the other male. Hunter swallowed back a speech of how he loved Christian and how all he desired was for him to love him back -- how cliche. He had the idea of pulling the same thing that Alice had, but he decided against it. If he was suddenly upset like the girl, it would all seem too apocryphal to accept. He would progressively put on the act. For then, however, he rose a hand to wave to Christian. Stepping forward some, he replied, "My first period is a study hall," he lied. "I usually hang out here when it's going on." The fibs were little white lies that wouldn't affect anybody much. He assumed that Christian wasn't aware of his schedule, and so putting a study hall in place of Chemistry was okay. He had the tendency to tell things like that, and he hadn't ever been caught, so he was fine with freely lying.
-
Christian moved towards him, hands shoved in the front pockets of his skinny jeans. "Oh, alright. As long as you aren't missing anything important..It's not like I would rat you out anyways," he said with a grin. He knew a lot of people that skipped class and he never told on them in fear of upsetting them. He didn't want anyone getting as bad as Alice who sometimes called him late at night feeling like dying. It was awful, really. He would just kindly suggest that maybe going back to class was a good idea. "So what have you been up to, lately, besides being the school's biggest clown?" He said with a slight chuckle, leaning against a table slightly. "I never see you around much, you know. Been kinda busy."

i thought it said skinny jesus lol
He nodded awkwardly with one of his goofy grins. He watched his body language as he thought of a reply. "I mean, not much. I kinda just come to school, f--- around, go home, and do random stuff with the family and whatnot." The outfit that the older boy was dressed in looked fantastic, in Hunter's opinion. He was aware that Christian was a high-up, popular kid, and he was sure that there were plenty of other guys and girls who had a crush on him. The fact that he thought he had a chance was far-out and silly. Just having a simple conversation with him was enough to make his heart beat a little faster than normal. Hearing that Christian had had a bit to do, he questioned back, "What have you been up to?" -
Yes he put his hands in his skinny jesus
Christian flinched a little when Hunter cursed but didn't say anything of it. He didn't really like when people cursing seeing as it was usually used to insult or make fun of somebody. His eyes lit up when the younger mentioned he did stuff with his family, that meant they were probably close. Christian loved seeing happy families do happy things even though he didn't get to experience it for himself. He shrugged, straightening his Varsity jacket absentmindedly. "What I usually do, go to all my classes after lunch, talk to people, make sure everyone is doing alright..Nothing all that interesting. No love life," he said with a chuckle. -
mm skinny jesus
When Hunter noticed the other flinch, he apologized sincerly even though he wasn't sure what he did wrong. He assumed that Christian would mention it later on in the conversation. He listened intently to what the other male mentioned about his life and relationship status. He shoved his hands into the front pocket of his hoodie and tapped his foot gently. "That's really cool how nice you are to everyone. I'm sure they appreciate it greatly," he commented. He really did admire what he did. Hunter, himself, was a nice person in general, but he didn't go above and beyond like Christian. -
Christian just gave a shrug at the apology to show it was alright and wasn't his fault. Every high school student cursed and Christian should have been used to it by now, but he just wasn't. Maybe it was just him. Christian raised an eyebrow, pursing his lips. "I guess. It just comes natural, I guess. So sorry if that sounds like I'm bragging, I'm really not trying to. I just like making people happy, I guess." Too bad you can make everyone happy but yourself, he thought, frowning and looking down at his feet. "It's not hard being nice, you just gotta give up all the bad things, gotta give off good vibes no matter who you're with," he hummed, looking at the younger.
-
Hunter absorbed what the boy had told him just then, and nodded with understanding. The way that the older carried himself was interesting. In fact, Hunter adored it. He didn't seem to care what people thought when it came to his appearance and clothes, and he always was bringing others up rather than putting them down like most other high school students. It was something to admire and the fact that Christian was so humble about it caused for Hunter to smile. "I understand. Oh, you don't sound like you're bragging at all." He pulled his hands from his pocket and crossed them over his chest. "Do people ever try to get at ya'? Like push you around and whatnot?"
-
Christian gave a small sigh of relief when he was reassured that it didn't sound like he was trying to brag. He himself hated when anyone bragged about anything, whether it be how many people they've dated or what grade they got on a big test. I was unneeded in his opinion. He licked his upper lip slightly, thinking. "Well, sometimes. It doesn't happen very often but some people just like being cruel, I suppose. When it happens I normally just walk away or try to talk to them and find out what anger they're taking out on me. Even the cruelest of the all have their soft sides. You know, some people are like roses; a beautiful, lively sight in public, but their thorns make them rough and dangerous in private. Sometimes you have to beware of the innocent, who knows what lies beneath that facade of nobility." He said, clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth.
-
The statement concerning human nature was insightful and Hunter would have said that he agreed, but he shared the same beliefs as an old Enlightenment thinker, Thomas Hobbes. He strongly believed that all people were born selfish and cruel, but that the teachings of family and others in society were what made individuals who they came out to be. The seventeen year-old did not have the desire to spew his opinion when the two were having a conversation, and so all he did was nod once more. Having been left nearly speechless, he fished around for the correct words to say. "I like that," he eventually mentioned in an act of desperation to keep the chat alive. He was usually much better in situations where he could be lively and humorous. This was the exact opposite of his usual comfort zone. Rather than him mouthing off and making a fool of himself, it was required that he keep his composure and act a least somewhat mature. Rather than crack jokes, he was to stay leveled in order to keep the attention of the other.
-
Christian opened his mouth to say something else, but right then the bell rang. "Second period. I don't have class, but I'm gonna go check on Alice and a couple other people. See ya, Hunter." Without waiting for a reply, he threw his bag over his shoulder and headed out of the cafeteria into the now over crowded hallway. He found Alice soon enough, leaning against a wall and trying to avoid getting shoved around. Christian called her name and she turned, walking over to him. "You alright?" He asked, bringing her into a tight embrace. She gave a small nod and a sad smile, pulling away after a few moments. "Yeah. You made me feel better. A lot better. Thanks, Christian."
-
Something inside of Hunter caused for him to twitch. He, for some reason, was jealous beyond compare. The idea of someone grabbing Christian's attention so easily kept his wondering and even a little angered. He swallowed back a bark of frustration and stormed out of the cafeteria, heading towards his second period, Honors Computer Programming and Coding. This class was one that he was already fairly fantastic at thanks to learning from the internet. Since Hunter was such a jokester and a prankster, he had taken up the internet in order different acts. Some would consider him a troll, some would call him a hacker, and some would say that he was just having a fun time. He entered the classroom and threw his stuff down at the first computer station, logging into his student account and staring at the screen.
