Spring Break. The group of friends had been waiting almost all of their high-school career for this very moment. This was their last break together, and, to make is special, they were all going up state, planning to camp near the lake. They packed their things, piled into the mini van, and drove for hours to reach their destination.
The first hint that something was off was the lack of other campers. It was Spring Break, after all, but the grounds seemed almost deserted other than a couple hikers and fishers. The friends shrugged it off, though, and pitched camp. To kick the week off, they planned to go swimming at night, and then dry off at the bonfire and roast hotdogs and marshmallows. Or, at least, they would have. Once in the water, one of them is dunked under as a joke- Only, they don't come back up. Distraught, the others dive in to try and locate their missing friend, only to find themselves being pulled down by currents that seem like fingers wrapping around their ankles. They struggle, but, before long, they black out.
The friends should have been dead. However, they wake up on the bank of a lake, but not the one they were camping at. Confused, the group learns that they've been transported to a mythical place that, according to everything they knew, shouldn't have existed. The Hollow. The Hollow, as they learned, was home to all the creatures of legends and fairy tails, and even ones that they hadn't heard of before. The strange world was a safe haven for those hunted to extinction in the worlds they originated from. However, at the time the friends showed up, the Hollow was under attack by something else. The things of nightmares, the creatures that were used to scare small children into behaving, only real, and much, much more deadly. Demons, as the creatures of the Hollow called them. Demons that were destroying their world, and everything they had created.
Of course, the group of friends have no idea how any of this relates to them. They just want to get home, but, apparently, that's not possible. Not without speaking to the queen of the Hollow, anyways. So, in desperation, the travel to the heart of the Hollow, meeting many strange beings on their way. That's the least of their worries, though. The queen informs them that she can't let them go home. Not during the war, because the portals between their realms are unsteady, and the friends could end up in some much more.. Unkind places, as she puts it. However, she does have an idea of how they can get home. A prophecy that was wrote long ago states that comers from a different land would save them in a time of need. She isn't quite sure that some thin-limb-ed humans can win a war, but she's willing to try. And, in return for their help, she'll grant them passage home. The friends, wanting only to leave, agree. The queen assigns a few of her best warriors to train them, and escort them to the battle field, where the friends will find that there was one part of the prophecy they weren't informed of- Some of them wouldn't be returning home.

Alright. Though I ask that everyone who joins has two characters, one being a creature from the Hollow, and one being a spring breaker, it's not an official requirement. Just, you know, no god-modding, and all the good stuff.

Name: Charlington "Charlie" Vey
Age: 17(And a half, as he will point out)
Gender: Male
Physical Appearance: Charlie's one of those borderline hipster guys. No, he doesn't have the clunky, black-framed glasses. Yes, he has the flip-over hair cut, plaid button-ups, and skinny jeans, tattered with holes. He's got pretty average look. A face with a mix of sharp and soft angles, short brown hair, green eyes, and freckles spattered over the bridge of his nose and his cheeks. He's got a chipped tooth, and is pretty skinny and tall, but not enough for them to be extremely noticeable traits. He's got some pretty bad scars on his back due to a car wreck he was in as a child, and he tends to keep them covered, even while swimming. At the time the portal opened, he was wearing basketball shorts, and a plain white teen shirt.
Personality: Charlie's one of those "If I can make it funny, I'm gonna make it funny," kind of guys. He can't take anything seriously. He's not rude unless people are rude to him. He's happy go-lucky, a people person. However, on the more negative side, when he gets mad, he get really, really angry, and upset, and over reacts. Tends to throw things and cuss people out.
Short Bio: Charlie was raised by a single-father, who was employed by the military, so they've done a lot of moving around. Luckily, they've stayed in the states. This is the first time he's gone to the same school for four years straight.
Other: He's a complete baby when it comes to bugs, and snakes, and scary/slimy things. He wont touch them, he wont talk about them, he wont look at them.
Name: Kyrai "Rai" Walts
Age: 1000
Gender: Male(? They think?)
Physical Appearance: Rai is abnormally tall by human standards. Seven feet and four inches. However, he's also built like a stone wall, making him pretty intimidating. All sharp angles. His eyes, though few people have seen then, are oddly mismatched. A coal black one, and a snow white one, with a yellow pupil. He's got black hair, and it's just a little above his ears, wild and un-cared for. He doesn't put much effort into his appearance- A simple shirt, black pants, black boots. His armor, though, is always polished to perfection, and he hardly goes anywhere without it.
Personality: Rai's personality is much like his appearance- As placid and cold as a stone wall. He's not much for conversation, and really doesn't care for children, so you can imagine his distress when he was told to escort and train the teenagers that showed up in his land. He's not rude, but he's not kind, either. Blunt.
Short Bio: Rai was born into the position of a servant, but soon worked his way into the queen's royal guard. After a few years, he came to command it, becoming one of her most trusted men. It's not obvious, but he is dearly in love with his queen.
Species Description: Shape shifter. Can pretty much take the form of any creature/person he can get his hands on.
Weakness, Strengths: Can't stay in a different form for more than a couple hours, and has to rest after shifting back. He can't change into anything that doesn't exist and that he hasn't touched. He also can't change into anything that isn't alive anymore, is now extinct, inanimate, ect. However, he can pass his powers to others, though while someone else is using it, he goes into a coma-like state.
Other: Loves, love, loves cats.
