So, meet my newest OC, Jeremia Malcolm Finch.
Jeremia is of no normal descent. He was born and raised in a lab, along with many of 'hybrids' of his kind. Human-animal mixes, designed and bred to fit specific purposes. This practice is actually quite common, and the mixed creatures are treated, in most households, like one might treat a maid or butler. Different mixes serve different purposes. For example, a golden retriever hybrid would be a hunting buddy, and a horse hybrid would be a field worker.
Mixing humans with more exotic animals, though, is newer. In fact, Jeremiah is the first hybrid of a bat eared fox. Hybrids can only be made if the end product would serve a purpose, and for Jeremiah, that purpose is being a nanny for whatever family chooses him. Male bat eared foxes in the wild exhibit strong motherly behaviour, and so the scientists who created Jeremiah knew he'd serve the purpose well.
Jeremiah is caucasion, but his fingers and toes appear slightly tanner than the rest of his body. His stomach, as well, is tinted differently, but paler. His hair is black, but all of his body hair is so blonde it's almost white. Like his animal species is compared to other animals, he is short compared to other people, standing about five foot four. His most striking feature is his ears- they seem disproportionately large compared to the rest of his body, and tend to get in his way when getting dressed. Finally, he has a tail, that blends from blonde at the tip to black by the end.
Personality wise, he can be rather different. When working, or babysitting, he is kind and gentle, but also firm. Children love him dearly, yet still fear disobeying him because they know that if they get in trouble, they'll be sent to their rooms. He is very polite around adults, and rather social; he loves chatting about his day, or about the other person. On the other hand, he can become almost animally violent in the event that the children he is caring for are threatened or harmed in any way by any another person. This could be something as small as patting them on the shoulder, if Jeremiah is already in a bad mood.
And so, the plot!
I prefer to write in C1/C2 form, so just know that C1 is Jeremiah. And since I already typed up his background, I won't repeat it here.
C1, while he sleeps and in general lives in a laboratory, during the day he is hired out to various clients as a 'trial'. After months of this, he is finally found fit to find a permanent home, and is sold to the highest bidder.
C2 is a single father of two twin boys, and being a wealthy businessman, he simply does not have enough time to watch the boys after they get home from school. So, after hiring babysitter after babysitter for months, he hears of an alternative- a hybrid, who will live in his home and watch the kids whenever needed. And C2 is eager to buy. Perhaps, though, the relationship between the two will develop past a boss and employee status. -
