Melody turned around to hearing footsteps in the grass. She smiled to seeing Dustin. "Hey" Melody said as she turned back around. Melody then moved her knees closer to her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs.

"Hello." said Dustin as he sat down.

"Sorry I left you and your friends, I really need to work how to be more open to people" Melody said with a brief sighed. Melody looked at the flowers and the grass flowing with the wind.

"Well social phobias are pretty common." said Dustin.

Melody smiled and nodded with agreement. "You're completely right.." Melody said with a bright smile.

"Maybe if we all hung out more, that would help." said Dustin

"Definitely but since you're a senior you probably will be most likely busy" Melody said with a brief sigh. She held her legs a bit more tightly. It would be most likely I would be losing a friend Melody thought with another sigh.

"Well I don't participate in any sports." said Dustin.

Melody nodded and smiled as she loosen her grip on her legs a bit. "Oh no, I forgot" Melody mumbled softly. She groaned softly and stood up. "I have to go prepare for the dance," Melody said with a slight blush. Just thinking of the dance reminds me Dustin is my date Melody sighed with that thought in her head. "I'll see you later" Melody added as she headed back into the silent hall.

Dustin said "Goodbye." He continued to sit in the garden.

Melody glanced back at the door leading to the door. "Thank you for making me happy" Melody whispered softly. She then headed off to the auditorium.

Dustin thought Melody's a cute girl. I wonder if she likes me.

Melody sighed briefly as she reached the auditorium. Everyone was possibly gone off somewhere. Melody sighed once again remembering the school had allowed certain students to take one person and go shopping for the dances. Melody smiled and blushed lightly as she began thinking. Dustin wouldn't mind me taking him with me just to do some shopping, would he? Melody thought with another sigh. The only way to find out was to ask so she turned on her heel and went back to ask Dustin.
