There once was a tale that old folk used to say on the cool nights when all of the children were out and about. In this town, it was thought that upon death you had three options- To be sent above in Heaven, to be sent down below in hell, or to be sent to the place between where undecided souls were left: At the House of the Dead.
In this House of the Dead, people can be whatever they want to be. They can change their appearance, become a completely different species, and can ultimately lead a new live for however long their stay is. Some disappear because their fates have been decided; the rest stay behind with their fate long forgotten. There is only one rule in the House of the Dead.
Everything within the House of the Dead is decided by the owner. If the owner hears word from God or Satan that they want a soul, it is the owner alone who decides if you go or stay. If you want to mock a demon by taking your form as one within the house yet the owner disagrees, if you argue with him, your existence will soon fade with his powers. Though, few have broken the owner's trust, and therefore few disappear from the House for good.
This story is now old to some, but they say that more people are being sent to the House of the Dead than to Heaven or hell. You never believed such tales, however, when you die you find yourself standing at the doorstep of a large house in the middle of empty space. The door is open, as if expecting your arrival.

Rules
1. You are free to your own, however any killing of another's character or hate upon another's character will result in immediate ban from the Soap.
2. Yes, I have pushed the plot to the limit. You can make your character be whatever you wish, but I do not want any god modding what-so-ever. If I see this, I will ask you to fix your character. Failure to follow this will result in a warning or ban depending on how argumentative you are about the change.
3. Any age is allowed, and having children within the House of the Dead has happened before.
4. Cussing, sexual acts, and anything not normally okay in another soap are welcomed and almost encouraged here.
5. IF YOU CANNOT WRITE MORE THAN ONE SENTENCE RESPONSES I ASK THAT YOU DO NOT EVEN BOTHER TO JOIN. I understand I said beginners are welcomed, I can tolerate bad grammar to an extent, but if all you can write is "She ran down a hall and screamed hi to her friend", I will ask you to leave. I'm not saying you need paragraphs of writing, but being able to write more than two sentences is a must have.

Personality: She can be very stubborn at times and hates being told what to do. She can be sweet once you get to know her but can be set off like a firework if bothered.

Appearance: The owner tends to change his appearance a lot. Sometimes, he pretends to be like any other guest, and gets a real kick out of how surprised they are to find out it's him. However, he's usually in this form.

Personality: While most would think of him to be mature and dead serious, he actually is very childish and loves pulling pranks on people. He's very optimistic and cheerful. At least, when everything goes his way...

Appearance: Stark white hair, that he worked for weeks to dye in this way and consistently has to retreat it to keep his dark roots hidden. In the event that he is unable to access the needed chemicals, his black roots begin to show. The hair is slightly wavy, and is neatly trimmed to about an inch above his chin. He has average toned skin, brown eyes, of regular build and weight, and is 5' 6".
Personality: He has DID, or dissociative identity disorder, along with mild schizophrenia. The extent of his DID is that he believes he was born in the wrong form, and that he is mentally part feline. The reason he was once taken into professional care is that he stole the neighbor's cat, cut its ears off, and attempted to surgically attach the ears to himself. The ears were not successfully attached, but his parents decided to give him up to a psych hospital, which only held him for two weeks before releasing him. His schizophrenia involves infrequent hallucinations of various, unexplainable spirals and horrifying images. While he can be hostile to those who treat him poorly, if he finds a person worthy of kindness, he will give it to them. One of his main conditions is that the person, to be worthy of kindness, must refer to him by one of his preferred names; Jem or Bell (not in a feminine way, but in a cat-like way).
Powers: None.
Other: Chews his nails when nervous or stressed. -
