Well, right now, I'm reading an alien thing, so of course, there's the whole alien landing thing. Oops, crashed on earth, gotta hide with a human while avoiding its dad who happens to work secretly with alien tracking or something

A young government employee (kind of like secret service I guess? idk son) in their mid 20s has their life turned upside-down when a visitor from another world crashes on earth and ends up rooming with them. This leads to them trying to hide their new discovery from colleagues and friends, many of whom work with extraterrestrial discovery.
I don't know that's somewhat more solid than last night's. -
