Okay! Sounds good! So, plot... How's this all going to come together? In the winter, last year of high school, parents and school issues, magic powers... Hmm...

Maybe something like this
C1 lives in the human world while C2 lives in a magical world where winter never ends. In the huamn world it was winter. C1 had some parents and school issues. Both of his/her parents lost their jobs and C1's grades were dropping. One day C1 just decided to walk in the forest that is near her/his home town. The forest was actually an passage to the magical world.
C1 came to this magical world at the wrong time at the moment there was a blizzard. C1 couldn't really see anything. Luckily for him/her C2 came to his/her rescue. C2 took C1 to his/her cottage. C2 noticed that C1 has magical powers but looks human. C2 didn't exactly, look human. C2 wanted to test C1 to see if he/she has magical powers by asking her/him a few questions. C1 still had to finish school. C2 suggested that C1 goes to his/her school. C1 didn't really knew what to do. Should she/he try to find a way back home or stay in this magical world until she finishes college?

"Job well done..." Kyle said to himself as he flew down, looking at the sky. He started clearing the clouds, so it was sunny. The snow lightly fell onto the soft ground, as he smiled. "I wonder what would ever happen if this ever stopped. Oh well, I like the snow anyways." He said, laughing to himself. He tucked his wings back in and sighed in satisfaction. He went back to his home, in the woods. The icicles created a dome like structure. The leaves, glued together with ice, covering the sky, which the sunlight reflected in throughout the wooded area. He stepped inside of his cabin, ignited a fire in his cobblestone fireplace, and laid down on his couch, humming a tune. -
Angela was walking in the middle of the streets. Since it snowed all day yesterday all roads were blocked. No one wa outside not even children to play in the snow. She smiled in delight. Angela glanced around the area. She was quite bored. Angela sighed in annoyance. Angela began walking to the near by forest. She loved seeing the iciles on the tree branches. They looked so beauitful through her eyes. As Angela walked she left behind footprints in the snow.
