Zero's Guide to Roleplayin
This guide includes what to do and what not to do.
Part 1 (What not to do)
So you want to roleplay huh? You think you've got a great plot? Oh what, damn. You can't think of anything? A mindless sex filled romance soap should suffice. After all it will always be a better love story than Twilight. Hm... You need characters. Since you have no originality at all how about you just use game characters and ruin their characterization? Hm... Uh oh, you don't want to make very descriptive posts do you? And basic grammar is too damn hard isn't it? Better type one sentence in b------ized English.
Part 2 (What to do)
Make your own imaginitive and vivid plot. Don't steal from others. Make your own characters or if rping an existing character, make sure that you can portray them accurately. Pull your weight. If everyone is typing paragraphs type a paragraph. Use acceptable grammar. Your posts make my eyes bleed. -
We need the ability to sticky threads.
-
But that would require ~effort~
How do I use this...~effort?~ It seems very difficult.
What does pull your weight even mean? Really, anyone trying to roleplay here has already failed at life. There are a million better places to pretend to be another person, and this isn't one of them. -

If you're going to pretend to be something you better be good at it.

Your guide is much more extensive than mine. Why hadn't that been bumped as soon as this became a problem?

Part 2 (cont.)
If you godplay, the older users and mods are going to use our own form of "godplay" and make your post time limit longer than your poorly-written sex scenes.
(Kidding. However, don't godplay. If you feel that there's no match for your character in combat, you're probably godplaying. I don't care who they are, it's unfair and uninteresting when you can defeat someone in one sentence.) -
@IHLAOY
Well s---, looks like we're both failures. -
@Selena: Hilarious yet realistic all in one post. Nice.
-
oh oh lemme add on
Part 3! Don't overpower your characters.
Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. When you make a character those two should balance out. Like for example, don't do something like this:
Strengths: Super strength, super speed, able to control people, can summon an army
Weakness: Only able to summon 100 demons per army
Just giving a character the ability to control minds is overpowered enough. Unless you have a limit that's able to balance it out. =B
I'll tell you right now that I hate it when people pull that s--- so please try not to do it. You can't just have a character that's able to beat everyone. It really depends.
