Dean yawned as he stretched his aching bones out before flopping back down onto the bed. Lucky for him, he had the whole week off, and he was ready to screw around and explore for new things to take pictures of. He didn't have any homework to worry about, and as far as he was concerned, he wouldn't have tried to get it done even if he did. He reached for his phone, checking the weather app. He had two days to explore before there would be heavy rain. As much as he liked rain, he knew that it caused a bunch of car accidents, especially around his hometown. He never went out during rainy days. He was too afraid of either his equipment getting ruined or getting stuck in traffic. -
fantabulosa
Bentley stared at his laptop screen, furiously designing a layout for a project in computer graphics, which was a necessary class to pass if he ever even wanted to think about landing an job as an architect. The program was all too new and perplexing, causing him to be frustrated and exasperated. He would have done something more pleasuring, such as reading a sports magazine or writing about the wonders of buildings, but he was forced to do the work. He cared about his grades too much to quit his task before completing it. Perhaps he would be capable of taking a break, which he greatly looked forward to, as he had had it up to his knees with the program's glitching and bulls---. Just then, he clicked down on a few random codes, astonished when the feature bar he had been searching for appeared across the screen. -
lol phone calls are the worst during RPs
Im meen
Dean rolled over, folding his hands behind his head. He gazed at the ceiling. He could go explore, or.. He could always visit Bentley. He liked that idea much more than exploring. He smiled, closing his eyes as he thought about his best friend. Bentley was very optimistic, not unlike Dean. He was also very smart, and was working towards becoming an architect. Dean grinned as remembered Bentley's 20th birthday (it involved a cake that was in the shape one of Bentley's dream building) and opened his eyes. Yes, that's what he'd do today. It wouldn't matter if he used one of his sunny days to go see his friend. He rolled off the bed, jumping up from the floor like he had when he was a small child. His hand snatched up his cell phone. "Don't want to surprise him if he's busy.. Might as well call," Dean chirped under his breath. He found Bentley's number in his contact and called him. "Beeeeeeeeeeenty, pick up your phone.." -
screw you broski
Bentley fiddled around with the new variety of color-fills and shapes for the building, grinding his teeth together sharply, a bad habit that he wished to get rid of. He placed a hexagon shape over top of the six walls he had already built in the model, silently applauding himself when it lined up perfectly. It was then that he heard the vibration of his cell phone, which caused his head to shoot up. Setting his laptop aside, he scrambled to locate the device before his phone declined the call. Thankfully, in a matter of a few seconds, he discovered it near his desk lap. A quick glance at the caller identification was enough to make him answer the call. He shoved the phone to his ear with an enthusiastic, "Hello?" -
you know you want to ;)
Dean had plopped himself onto his spinny chair just as he heard Bentley's response. He sat up, grinning to himself. "Hiya, Benty!" He spun in the chair, watching the surroundings go fuzzy as he went around and around. "How're you doing?" He had been planning on just asking if he could come over, but that would be too obvious. Besides, if he couldn't go visit Bentley, he'd have to make due with the phone call. He'd have much more fun dragging the call out. -
ayeeeeeee
Bentley settled himself back down in front of his laptop, grinning at the greeting his best friend offered. "Hey, Dean." He dragged his mouse to the small icon that would allow him to save his document, clicking down. After a few seconds, a beige box appeared, and then, a thin progress bar. He watched the progress bar fill completely with an ugly green color before he was permitted to close both the program and the laptop. "Well, I was working on a computer graphics project, but now I'm layin' around, so I'm pretty good. What's up with you?" -
jkjk probably not I'd be very cranky
"Nothing as interesting as computer graphics is happening over here. Honestly, I've been rolling in and out of bed all morning. Nothing too amazing over here. Which leads me to.." Dean tucked the phone between his ear and shoulder, making a sort of drum roll noise with his hands and desk. "Do you think you'll be able to hold off on that project of yours so I can possibly stop by?" He bit his lip, curious to know Bentley's answer. He knew it was likely going to be yes, but if it wasn't.. He'd be forced to do boring things all day. -
xD oh my
Bentley leaned back on his bed, finally allowing himself to relax for a small sum of time. "Ah.." He glanced towards his computer, crunching up his face in contemplation. He deliberated with himself for a few moments, biting down on his lip. Eventually, a decision popped into his brain. Computer graphics honestly could wait. If he had to, he was willing to cram it into one of the all-nighters he was famous for pulling. "If you'd like to come by, I would be perfectly fine with that. Maybe we could go grab coffee or something, too?"
