Hikari stood in an alleyway, fairly far from the one that the girl was currently in. A glowing circle was before her, plastered onto the side of a wall. A face was visable in the swirling glow. One of the higher ups of the Winged Forces. Hikari had to report her finding, specifically a girl who she had seen eating a human.
-
With facade in place, the girl turned, eyes wide as she looked at the human.
"H..." She tried repeating the word he said, but found it too difficult. -
Steve looked around and said "Do you have a home?"
-
"What's your report?" The male voice asked, his face blurred by the swirling of the light.
Hikari nodded. "A female demon. She appeared to be young. I caught her eating flesh from a human corpse."
There was a pause before the man said anything. "And...?"
Hikari frowned slightly. "Unfortunately I lost track of her. But I will continue searching for the demon and I will eliminate her."
"...Very well. You may continue your search." After he finished speaking, the light dimmed and vanished. -
She stared blankly at the human, not understanding the words he spoke.
She was a bit scared now, as normally they backed off. This one seemed curious. Curiosity could be dangerous, she knew. -
Steve stood there and thought the girl had no home. He reached out his hand to take her home with him.
-
Hikari sighed. She wasn't sure how she had lost track of that demon. She just kind of did. "I'd better start looking..." She murmured to herself. She made her wings appear on her back once again. She spread them out and stretched her wings briefly. Then she flapped her wings and propelled herself upwards, onto the top of one of the nearby buildings. Her wings disappeared once her feet touched the roof.
-
She flinched back at first, staring at his hand from the shadows. Soon, though, she gauged he was no threat, and gently took his hand.
If this led to trouble, she knew she could easily sneak away. And maybe he knew where food was. -
Steve said "I'll take you to my home." He took the little girl to his home.
-
Hikari spotted a girl walking with a man. At first she was going to glance over them, but the girl looked awfully familiar. Hikari looked at her for a moment. She looked similar to the demon girl from before.
-
She followed, soon relaxing and humming again, yellow eyes bright and calm.
-
Steve got her to his home. He sat her down at a table, made a sandwich and gave it to her.
-
Hikari sat on the top of a building in front of the boy's home. She had followed the little girl and the male teen to this house, because she suspected the girl to be that demon. But what about the boy? Did he know what the girl was? Hikari wasn't entirely sure.
-
She quickly forgot her mistrust and chowed down. She couldn't remember the last time she'd eaten anything this nice.
-
Steve said "I hope you like peanut butter, that's all I had left."
